Default Question about FF

I made/maintain Dj Destruction's Soundclick account. Recently on his site, he put 2 older songs up for downloading. I have one, I needed the other, so I could add it to the Soundclick. But, FF doesn't have a "Save Target As" option on the right-click menu, like IE does. So, I needed to open up IE and do it. I was wondering if there is an add-on or something that let's me do just the same thing, so I don't have to be bothered with IE in teh future.

Using "Save Page As" under "File" works. Pretty sure.

Gibson - Yeah, I have FF3. But, there's no Save Target As, does yours have that option?
Darkbear - Well, that does work, If I want to save a page, but I needed to save the MP3 that the link went to.

I was pretty sure that if you just clicked on anything it gave you the option to save to a specific directory, so why would you need to right click to save it somewhere?

Otherwise, I also thought "save link as" worked the same way.

Well, it plays automatically with Quicktime. I figured if I set it not to do that, It would ask me, but I can't find where to change that setting. It isn't in the list with the other file types.
And, IIRC, "save link as" just saves the link itself, not the target.
If there isn't a way around this problem, it's fine. It would just be more convenient =]

Ah, I had that problem with quicktime some time ago.

Honestly, I just removed quicktime (I never use it) and firefox went back to giving me the option of saving and where to.

hmm, I guess I'll try that. I don't really use Quicktime either.

I uninstalled Quicktime and now it plays on a black page that says [no video] >.>
oh well, I guess I'll just have to use IE when I need to save a file in that manner.

Hmm.... Check your temporary internet files. If it's playing (or was playing) with quicktime, it must have downloaded, so it would be in there. I have done that to obtain mp3's that are stream only (heheheh...), only because it has to get in there to get into your computer. Otherwise, I'd just do what you're doing now.

Yeah, I've messed around with internet enough at school to try and avoid the stupid website block they have that I've learned quite a few things about internet/IE/FF.
