Americans really are horrible at creating horror films, there are very few horror films that are actually scary, and they're worsening as time goes on. I didn't watch the American version for The Grudge 1 and 2 [was only thinking of watching the second because Edison was in it] but I'm guessing they probably butchered it.
sorry for the late response

Edison Chen gets killed in Grudge 2 = death to all people who made Grudge 2.

Edison was amazing in Initial D and damn. to kill a guy like that is to kill jay leno. jay is out there everynight busting his ass, why would we want to kill jay.

I'm surprised at how indignant people got over his death. It's not like they killed him in real life.

It is another movie where the americans copy the Japs, but i liked how they made the Buffy girl die whatever her name is.

Yeah. I didn't find it that scary. Although, I saw it in theatres on Friday the 13th, at the 10:30pm showing in my area. There were a TON of screaming people. They screamed at parts that weren't even mildly frightening.

Mind you the only scary part was when the movie was nearly over and there were technical difficulties, and then all the drunken teens started getting up and throwing things and yelling. Which even then was amusing. But, after leaving the theatre a whack of police showed up. XD

Either way though. It wasn't scary at all. I didn't even care for the first one that much. They basically ruined everything in the trailer by stating that Sarah Michelle Gellar's character had died, when her sister stated. 'My sister is dead!' I didn't see the ending, so I'm clueless as to whether or not they're going to be making another one.

The Grudge 1 and 2 are both boring and not the least bit scary. I do think that the first grudge was the better of the two.
