It's that time of year again. That special time of year that I know that each and every one of you have been waiting the past year for. I'm talking of course about McDonald's Monopoly...

Today was the first day of this special event. I made sure to participate. I was lucky enough to get a message from McDonalds early this afternoon letting me know that the event had started and I promptly made plans to go for dinner.

I would like to know if anyone else is planning on playing this year. And if anyone else has ever won this game. This year I'm going to be keeping some very detailed notes and I'll be posting them later this year as I take this game way too seriously.

So, for the next 40 days happy eating.

Given that I work at a McDonald's I can't play. So retarded. But, I can peel off a bunch of stickers, get the good ones, and sell them.

Wow rzr, that has to suck. McDonalds is quite basically saying they don't trust their workers for s***.

I get the feeling though, that McDonalds doesn't lose a cent over this because of all the profit they make from poeple trying to win. You can't say they aren't shrewd businessmen, that's for sure.

That's what happened when McDonalds Monopoly first started. Employees started stealing stickers and giving them to friends and not so close relatives. And this didn't just go towards McDonalds employees. I'm talking about employees who put the stickers on the products.

They stopped the game for a year or two.

I got Boardwalk when I was in Virginia.
But i'm sure Park Place is only available to the west coast, that's how they do it.

I have Park Place. I guess I'll have to drive for 2-3 days to find Boardwalk. Damn it.

It's like that for ALL contests for ALL cases for ALL companies.

They do it for fairness to those hoping to win the contest just as much as the company themselves. After all, if someone wins a million dollars from the contest, the company is paying one million dollars regardless of who wins. And Mr. Nothing: I would say that you're wrong. That would be FAR too easy to defeat using basic snail mail tactics. What is far more likely is that they create MANY Park Places, but only print up 1 or 2 Boardwalk to complement it (depending, of course, on what they intend the chances to win the prize to be).

To the best of my knowledge, there is only 1 for each of the winning pieces (ie boardwalk) Everything else is mass produced. Side note, the guy who found boardwalk and won 1 million last year lives in St. Louis, according to the bag that my food came in.

As for the food, it sucks, but when you need to eat and it happens to be convenient, and cheaper than most of the food in the area (for me at least) might as well. Another side note, I ate there at least once a day last year for almost every day of monopoly.

Furthermore, enlisting all of your friends to get you game pieces is an easy way to better your odds so you don't have to go every day. This is also something that I try to do as often as possible so that I'm bringing down everyone with me when I go.

They did some Monopoly thing like this in about March or something, really crap prizes for your health.
