RE: TWG XXIII Host Signups - Voting
Blah. I didn't want to play Mead's game to begin with, and Eyespew just pointed out a very notable flaw.

RE: TWG XXIII Host Signups - Voting
What flaw? The big thing I can see is that there are ALWAYS people who come off as human right from the start, and 95% of the time, they are... this time around, you get someone like that, you get TWO people. Alliances are doubled off the bat when they are formed.
Knowing TWG from the past, you can't trust people to keep their mouthes shut. People will tell others about their groupings, someone will figure out a chart of who is who, and by day 5 when the 2nd psychic report comes out, ALOT of information will be available to figure out which 2/8 groups are the wolves. OOOOOOH!!! I just found a HUGE loophole. Well, not huge, but big. Clearly, one of the alliances will be gone day 1 when someone is wolfed night 1... as such, the OTHER player comes out publically. Instant alliance leader. If 1 rep from every mason-team comes to them, they can chart who is who, and work from there to find the wolf groups. Also the guardian guards them and the lone-green goes to them... it would be very easy to find a wolf trying to fake a role. If the wolves don't play along, they'll be figured out. Humans have no reason NOT to play along. And if a wolf tries to pull it, the human will come out also... and its 1 dead human for 1 wolf, at worst. That is pretty huge... EDIT: and yes, I pointed it out now, instead of after the game started... don't want ANOTHER game canned day 1. *sigh*

@Eyespew, Yeah, if the wolves don't make stupid kills, it won't be obvious who they are. Brilliant.
Seriously, that is no flaw, that's just the humans having to make descisions based off behaviours rather then depending on the seer to do the work for them. @Tass, We discussed this over AIM a few minutes ago. Even if the new loner comes out, and was a ccepted as a human, the wolves could come to him as pairs just as anyone else would. What does it accomplish? 1 less suspect, but still 13 others. |

I still recommend this play, in the 5/6 odds that someone will be left solo. At least 1 person (3, if you include the lone green + guardian) should know all of mason groups. Will make deduction so much easier.
And here is to praying someone intelligent is given the opportunity. No offense to those who are stupid. But, you know who you are.

tass I don't see the difference between the partnerless person coming out and the lone green coming out... either way one person knows all the partners and the guardian and one other green. So it would just be a toss up as to whoever came out first that starts the alliance.

Not saying mine is necessarily the best (in fact, LD's is probably best, which is ironic given that he has NO VOTES AT ALL), but, seriously, what the hell were you guys thinking? What the fuck kind of game has only one green and they're the one in the special position?
