Re: Should the government stop abortions?
Actually, it does have a verb, it's just missing another mandatory verb.
Bah, it's probably called something else though, I don't really know much in terms of types of words and such. |

Re: Should the government stop abortions?
I see a pronoun, a gerund, an adjective and a noun.

Re: Should the government stop abortions?
Ok well, the gouvernment shouldn't be in control of people's minds. And an abortion isn't killing a human with a brain, it's killing a fetis that can't think right? But then again a fetis can grow into a human :S... Hmm I say people should be able to get abortions under certain conditions such as rape or too young, or even if you can't take care f the baby for sure once it's born. But if it is intentional to have a baby and the mom says "oh screw this it's too much work" that is wrong. So yes there should be rules for abortion, but not completely illegal. If it becomes illegal and the mom ends up having a baby that she doesn't want, she will get depressed and probably kill the baby herself which will screw up her life. That is murder and she will be put in jail... I'm going to stop now before I get too into it...

Uhm, replying to the question in the title.
No, they should not, and even if they did, women would still get abortions. I am 100% for them. Hate me. |

Re: Should the government stop abortions?
Uhm, other people do the same thing that I just did, if you haven't noticed. :/
And well, the only reason I have for supporting abortions is because I hate children. I don't care anyone says like 'omg how culd u!' or crap like that. I REALLY hate children, and no one can change my opinion on that. I also have no problem with killing an unborn living thing, honestly. It makes me laugh, but that's because I'm a sick-minded person, rofl. Baby popping out from between my legs? Uhm, no thanks. Abortion please. |

Re: Should the government stop abortions?
Yeah see, that "reasoning" has nothing to do with the subject at hand. You do see that if you just aborted -all- fetuses because you "really hate children" that we'd be in a bit of a predicament eh?

Re: Should the government stop abortions?
I didn't say women should abort ALL of them.
I'm saying that women who are like me, or don't want to have a child for some other reason should have the right to get their fetus aborted. |

It doesn't matter if other people do what you just did. It's just as wrong. Now post right or get out of CT. I've at least tried to respond and contribute. Your points are completely invalid and baseless. It is with some sadness that I feel your parents didn't think the same way you do.

Re: Should the government stop abortions?
You really don't seem to have one. And you have no base for anything you've said.

Re: Should the government stop abortions?
The child is technically part of the mother until it is born, so it is really the individual choice of the mother whether or not to have an abortion. She is ultimately responsible for growing/feeding it and raising it, and if she feels unfit to fulfill those duties the government has no place in forcing those duties upon the mother. Also, unwanted children have a much higher likelihood of committing serious crimes in their adult life due to the abuse and negligence that occurs.
The third trimester is tricky because the baby is pretty human at that point... but I'd say first trimester is a no-brainer considering the baby still has gill slits at that point... |

Re: Should the government stop abortions?
Okay, so let me start all over.
Abortions are a good idea for women who have gotten raped and accidentally gotten pregnant because of it. It's also a good thing for women who don't want children, for whatever reasons they have. A woman should have the right to choose whether she wants to bear a child or not. Now, personally, besides the fact that I think laws shouldn't take the rights of women to have a child or not, I wouldn't want this to be a law where I live. Simply because I've already gone through a situation in which I almost could've gotten pregnant because.. 1. It was the night after my menstrual period ended 2. No birth control pills were being taken by me 3. There was no condom So I was at a HIGH risk of getting pregnant, and I wasn't getting 'forced' into the sex, it was of my own free will. So, hypothetically speaking.. If I had gotten pregnant, I would want an abortion, and I don't know the laws here in Virginia, but I think it's illegal in most places. I would have not wanted the child, and my hatred for babies and children dates back to a decade ago, but that's a whole different story. |

Re: Should the government stop abortions?
Two things about abortions:
1) When a woman is raped it is extremely rare that she would get pregnant and if she does, should it be the child's fault? 2) Abortions aren't always safe, in fact they can damage the philopian tubes (wow that must be spelled wrong) and inhibit the Woman's ability to have children

Re: Should the government stop abortions?
Heck, wouldn't that make Nyokou happy? The whole reason she wants the right to an abortion is in case she gets pregnant "by accident" instead of taking all of the necessary precautions, or actually just getting her tubes tied.

Re: Should the government stop abortions?
Well, I'm not a kid anymore. :/
And having a child at 15 years of age? No thanks. I'm definitely getting my tubes tied as soon as I can, without letting my parents know. I really don't want children at all. And I know I made huge mistakes by not using a condom and being at the most vulnerable stage of getting pregnant that night. Besides, it was what.. the second time I had sex. I haven't done it since. I'm a bit too scared, and I've decided that if I do accidentally get pregnant, I want to be older, so no thanks. |
