Body position when playing FFR
Okay, this may seem like a strange thing discuss, but i would like to anyway Ive been experimenting a little with this lately.
How do you position yourself to play your best? Lean back in the chair, or leaning forward to get some weight over the fingers? Are you having straight arms, or bended elbows? Are your arms resting on the table (in front of the keyboard), or do you keep them "in air" so the only contact is between the fingers and the buttons? Anything else worth mentioning? EnergY30

Re: Body position when playing FFR
I unconsciously learn forward and hunch my shoulders when I get into really intense parts in a song.

Feet propped on the bar under my desk(lol picture).
I lean back, my elbows bent below the desk.... basically the ****tiest position for you. |

Re: Body position when playing FFR
Here's my setup:
-Feet propped against a wooden beam under neath the desk -Forearms resting on the chair's arms (Helps me keep control when vibrating to hit jacks) -Lean slightly forward to put momentum and weight on my fingers (Also helps me for jacks) -Arms level with the keyboard -Monitor about 6 inches above and away from the keyboard

Re: Body position when playing FFR
1. Stand up
2. Pull down my pants. 3. Walk to keyboard. Rest is self explanatory. No, I just lean back on my chair when I play and there's lest strain in my upper arm and wrists. |

Re: Body position when playing FFR
I sit leaning forward with my wrists on the keyboard, and I headbang unless its really intense and syncopated, and my feet usually end up underneath my chair after songs even though I start out with them in front of me...

Re: Body position when playing FFR
I put the keyboard on the floor and start stepping on it hoping I'm hitting the right keys.

Re: Body position when playing FFR
I sit on the butterfly position. That or put a leg over the side of the chair handle if I am in need to stretch.

Re: Body position when playing FFR
I cross my legs. My right foot is like I'm on my tiptoe firm on the ground, my left foot rests on the right foot's achilles and barely touches the ground.

Re: Body position when playing FFR
I slouch and keep my my hands resting close to the keys I'm striking to ensure I hit them directly on. My feet are almost always underneath my chair.

Re: Body position when playing FFR
Lean back, left foot over right under the desk, arms straight, keyboard angled slightly so my left hand is lower than my right, I sit to the left of my monitor/keyboard, and then play
