Default Help with avatar ideas

I kinda new to photoshop. So I'm trying to get some ideas for an avatar. I want it to be simple. Animal or human doesnt matter. The theme: Boyah Inc. without it MP is nothing.

Well, it all starts with the idea. Try playing with creating text, right clicking on the layer and clicking "Blending Options" and play with things like drop shadow/inner shadow, bevel and emboss. But try to explore ALL of the options. NEVER just leave things to their defaults-- you can easily manipulate the parameters of all the options to make it something unique. If you use bevel and emboss, definitely play with the "gloss contour" curves. Not doing so will leave you with plain MicrosoftWord looking text art.

Look around on Dafont.com to try to find a font that fits your style, or something that you think conveys what you want. Or, if you can manage it, visualize what you can do with the font and picture what editing would make it something a bit sharper than just a plain font dropped into the canvas.

Yep. Practice 'n stuff.
