Basically if you remember back when how challenges were done people would say I bet you x credits I can beat people on x song and people would accept the challenge but each held on to their own credits then paid up the winner. If someone didn't pay up then people just booted that person out in future challenges. I can't allow syite to take buy ins and hold on to credits to distribute, and be the controlling factor in all content selected because then it becomes a tournament. I'm not trying to be a jerk there's just certain rules in place that I need to enforce. |

It's not a big deal guys, the buy-in was an idea brought up to me that i thought would give this an edge for some people. I'll have this done the right way.
Also credits have been returned |

Re: Looking for a rival, of sorts.
If there is someone that meets the requirements that would like to host this in my place/have me as a co-host I wouldn't have a problem with it at all. Just let me know, because as it stands I don't quite meet those requirements :/

Cammy and I were already in a 6 way Rivalry and I'm pretty sure I can hold it together if need be. Same thing basically every 2 days a new song is appointed and we all just battle it out for the AAA or best score. |

I'm with you Alek, I really think a little rivalry since it's a few of you would be the best thing rather than turning it into some full blown tournament.

Re: Looking for a rival, of sorts.
How about setting up a giant google spreadsheet and then we all put in our scores on some files and then get bragging rights for beating other people or something

Re: Looking for a rival, of sorts.
That sounds fine by me. Drop the credit factor, and just have it be strictly improvement based. I will still keep track of scores in the OP, but there will be no prizes. Maybe I'll host this officially when I do meet the requirements to host.

Re: Looking for a rival, of sorts.
This is what we did last time and I can do the work of gathering every persons scores for a selected area of lvls (i.e. 66-75) or something

Re: Looking for a rival, of sorts.
Well to keep the raw scoring the whole chart would have to start out blank and then we just play the 2 day rounds eventually getting through the whole list.
If the you don't want the 2 days rounds and just want to play any song within that you post your SS in the thread and then I could update it. I wouldn't be able to update without visual proof and a bit of help from the individual them self to let me know it beats their previous Raw score. |

Re: Looking for a rival, of sorts.
And I think we should let the winner of each song pick the next song (unless you don't wish to then pick someone who you would like to have pick in your place) That way everyone has a chance to pick a song that plays to their strength (or weaknesses for the sake of improvement)

Re: Looking for a rival, of sorts.
I hope there's no time limits or anything with this because the weekend is the only time I get to play and even then its only if I finish studying/doing homework

Re: Looking for a rival, of sorts.
depending on how long 8 hour wants to help with the spreadsheets, we can make this event last as long as we want. It's mostly for improvement on skill. And since this is no longer a tourney setup, if you can't/don't want to participate in a round, there is no penalty but you'll really only hurt yourself.
@Wayward Vagabond, so as a better answer we will continue the 2 days per song, but when ever you can play FFR just drop in and check the song we are currently working on (I will keep a complete list stored on my computer if you would like to try songs we have already covered) and try to improve yourself. Also since this is improvement based what do you all think about revisiting songs? Meaning we will cover a diversity of songs lets say from 66-77 (FMO difficulty) and in the future we will go back and replay those songs to track actual improvement, instead of only obtaining good scores because you whore a song? I think each "round" someone new should pick. I f we do winner picks everytime, then 8 hour whore will more than likely be picking everytime lol. Were still doing the whole screenshot thing right? |

Re: Looking for a rival, of sorts.
screenshots - yeah.
instead of winner pick, ill set up a list and PM the next person in line to tell me what they want for the next song before I update the OP with that info (and the person that chose will be noted as well) EDIT: Since trumaestro can only play on the weekends his place in the list isn't permanent. So it will be kind of confusing but we'll figure everything out so everyone has a chance to go choose songs. Anyone else that can only play on certain days post in here or shoot me a PM so I can figure it out Last edited by syite; 02-2-2013 at 12:02 PM.. |
