Hey, if you are desperate for judges, I can judge if you need someone. I have almost 10 years of musical background and I've taken many music theory classes so I'd know what to look and listen for. Plus I have a lot of time on my hands. Let me know, thought I'd throw myself out there if you needed any extra help.

Once jx has all the files set and he has divided the judges into groups he will then pm all the judges the batch along with their respective group and section of the batch to judge

If this was a music class id say yes but your files aren't strong enough. They don't show that you fully understand stepping although you do have some of the basics down. Keep on improving though and I could see you as a backup judge or a regular judge even. As of right now though id say no

Like I said, it was mainly if they needed people. But being able to step or not doesn't mean that I wouldn't notice if something seemed wrong, like some random grace notes stuck in there that aren't there or polyrhythms that should be sixteenth notes. I usually can't recognize my own mistakes until someone else points them out. I help some friends out with their files sometimes but obviously I'm not perfect.

Noting what's missing and what's extra is only part of the judging process. Being able to distinguish different types of layering, noting when difficulty ranges within the file become to great of a difference, PR(not so linear) there is a bunch of things one must look for and what not when judging. like I said you have some basics down I just don't think you're ready

Experience with music only comes in when you're looking for PR, which mostly comes out in piano songs. Any other type of song usually has layering which makes it irrelevant.

Question: if we have a song where we intend to step more than one difficulty, how do we go about sending them all? I have three charts in mind for Kommisar's La Lune du Minuit éternel (a Light, Standard, and Heavy, if you will). Should I leave them all in the .sm and tell the judges that they are to be judged separately? I would hope that it was obvious that I intended on more than one difficulty if I actually label them with the proper numbers.

I'm not against having multiple difficulties for a song in the game at all, just don't want a .dwi/.sm that has multiple difficulties (except for resubmissions). Submitting them as separated files with [Light] or [Heavy] is ok.

Current Judges List

[Previous judges]
Silvuh, JX, ily, qqwref, psychoangel, Patashu, wc, G-Dude, Halogen, bmah, dore

[Non-previous judges]
Arch0wl, Niala, ichliebekase

In previous judges, Kommi, V4N, samurai haven't responded yet (buizel said he won't do this time). and I'll be a backup if there're enough judges.

kommisar = Probably missed this thread

Vote4nixon = Probably missed this thread since he's so caught up with Turdstyle

Samurai = He quit the game randomly so someone need to cover for him (Arch0wl would be nice imo)

Fix'd.

I knew we had a couple of judges that had quit, or in some cases, "quit," so I suspected the might have needed more help. I'm not the most experienced, but I'm not a bad stepartist either. I figured throwing my name out there couldn't hurt, supposing JX was having trouble finding more judges... Sorry if I'm stepping on toes.
