Hey
Hey All,
Recently found this web site from a youtube video posted. Not sure how I got to the video, but through some googling I came across this site and ... it's addicting, very addicting, haha. Anyways, I wanted to say Hi as well. I used to play DDR a few years back..in fact, had a high quality DDR pad. I used to play on my PS2, pretty much every day for at least a half hour. I liked it for the exercise. I don't get quite the same workout doing this, but it's still very addicting and fun. If anyone knows of the software that works on the computer that one can play DDR again, I'd definitely appreciate information on that. I still have my pad..and I think there's a USB connection on the controller box. It should work on the computer...which would be really cool to get back into that again for another way to work out. |

Re: Hey
Hey there
First off, download Stepmania http://www.stepmania.com/ Next, there are a whole bunch of packs of songs that you can include onto this program, specifically made for your keyboard [fingers], or your pad [feet]. Here's a list of all sorts of packs of songs made for Stepmania http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...d.php?t=115269 Look for the packs highlighted in red, those specifically made for pads, or feet. Once you have downloaded a pack fully, examine whether it is a .rar or a .smzip (normally you can tell by the appearance of the icon) If it is a .rar file, Just watch this video If it's a .smzip, just double click it (much easier) Dur ya go

Re: Hey
Thanks Ohaider for the information about StepMania. I'm going to check my pad this evening and make sure it supports USB, and if not then get the right equipment. Nice about winter just approaching is that it's the perfect time to get back into DDR.
Also, thanks everyone for the warm welcomes. Played FFR over lunch, trying 2-handed style. Strange my settings don't save though, so I have to rebind each time I play, but oh well. |

Re: Hey
I spent some time looking at my pad, and I don't have a USB connection.
I then went to Amazon, looking for various PS2->USB converters. you're right, they are cheap. THere's a bit of a problem...there are so many. Also, many don't seem to work with Windows 7/8 from what I'm reading. What PS2->USB converter to you use? |

Re: Hey
Honestly, from what i understand most all of them are compatible with any operating system, i think it goes more by Stepmania and the usb to ps2 converter inevitably works (with stepmania 3.9 3.95 and 5 from what i know), just go to stepmania options then map keys
