FFR Courses?
FFR Courses (Also list for FFR Tutorials)
I know this is kind of.. DDRish, but maybe we could have courses? Like have a selection screen, like this. Instead of songs, it will be courses, and the songs in the course will be displayed. For example, we can have a "Guru" Course, which has piano etude, molto vivace, crowdpleaser, ggc, and revetude. Also, there would be a little icon on the ffr page, which says switch to course mode. When you're playing a song, you'll have to fill up a "meter". If you fill it up to the top for each song, you'll beat it and go on. If you don't, you'll have to play it again. You fill it up for each note you hit. You have to keep it at the beat sign until the end of the song. If you beat it, you would get a combined total of credits, and a nifty bar on your profile, under the FCs and AAA's. Also, you could maybe have a little section for like little course tokens, under the token and skilltokens. Is this a good idea? No negative comments please.. Re: FFR Courses?
the tutorial concept sounds good, like a genre dedicated to patterns ..like you load a stepfile that is 100% runningman ..with no music just nonstop runningman variations so you can play without an end until you learn it and can boo out at any given time.. instead of trying to learn it from a single little part in a song that can show after 3 minutes and last only 10 seconds

Re: FFR Courses?

Re: FFR Courses?
a vision of that..
i see the tutorial stepfiles running in a loop and misses/boos are disabled having no effect so the player can watch the pattern and not even play it and tap only when he likes all kind of jumps, one handed trills of different speeds ..never ending rolls/staircases jumpstreams and more.. ffr tutorial/practice mode in the flash .. i feel this is hot stuff that will make the game even more complete. Like a practice thing, but i dont think it should be like a skill token kind of thing, people can play them to get better, not to show others how good they are. Personally, I dont think it should count towards your GPs or Grand total either, but its a great idea

Re: FFR Courses?
Courses would be pretty sweet.
Also, I 100% agree with tutorial files. It would be cool feature if those files started slow, then started to speed up depending on how many arrows you hit, and if you miss a lot, it slows back down. |

Re: FFR Courses?
Tutorial files would be awesome. Also, if there was like different difficulties for each respective "skill", it could be good because noobs could practice the really easy things while the more skilled members could practice harder variations of the same thing.

I would REAAAALLY like to see something like this. REALLY. Maybe jack framers, too. Like, if you select 4 framer then the file would be: 2 left arrows (4 frames apart), 2 right arrows (4 frames apart), repeated. I would probably get at least 3 times better at jacks. |

Re: FFR Courses?
there should be a crowdpleaser tutorial that just has the huge trill over and over again.

lol Rubix.
This is a great idea... i would have loved to have a jump stream tutorial instead of playing Dazzling Soul over... and over... and over... Don't worry Mitch, Courses are good too :]

Re: FFR Courses?
Would be cool to have stuff like these in FFR, it's easy to make practice levels and practice on Stepmania though, it's not _the same_ as FFR but it's not far off.
