RE: Re: RE: 1 Day TWG on AIM
We ran a full TWG in a 75 minute class my freshman year.... although no one had played before and the wolves won easily. Also, easier to communicate in person. The professor was also pushing things forward fairly quickly.
I'd say 10... 2w, s, g.

So if somebody does'nt show up, or has to leave early, are they dead?

I'm interested in this, but we have to be sure we find a date that works for everybody, and that's not easily done. I would tend to think summer weekends, agreed on by a majority, would work best, but nobody is going to want to wait that long.

I've had less than 30 minute TWGs. Fifteen minutes.
Nobody really talked too much. But it was really easy to see who the wolves were for me. XD

If you leave early, as far as I'm concerned you never play again. Only show up if you know you can stay until the end. This will be done on a weekend night to avoid such conflicts. |

Well, if it's a family emergency or something, then that should be excusable on grounds of leaving early.
I'm not sure if I would be able to participate in this. I find that I get interrupted quite frequently.... |

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: 1 Day TWG on AIM
I think 10 with 2 wolves would work best. It's proportionally the same, and it'd be easier to find 10 people than 15. Also, I was thinking, since this will be done like a game in real life, we shouldn't have a psychic, but instead be told who you people are as they die. I think that's a cool thing to try anyway, and it fits this situation pretty well. It's balanced because humans are hampered by getting less time to find wolves, but they are helped by this public psychic type of thing.
I think the signups should be on the forums here rather than in the channel, because some of us aren't big into IRC and wouldn't know how to get there fast enough, which isn't fair. And perhaps in the signups people could decide whether it's on AIM or IRC. IRC will probably win, but you never know :P. Also, we could have some games that are at like, midnight or later (EST) for night owls like me and the west coast people.

If you don't get in, you don't get in. IRC is really easy to use. We're doing it on IRC because IRC is very easily moderated. I figure I'll +v all the players and set +m, then -v the players as they die. (In layman's terms this means that once you die I make it so you can't talk anymore.) Also, it's very easy to set up a wolf chat channel and make it secret, invisible, and password-protected. Convenient! Quote:

Also, with the whole IRC thing, some people are a lot more familiar with it than others. Some people won't be able to get in simply because they are just learning how to use it. Or maybe I should just learn how to do it beforehand....k.

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: 1 Day TWG on AIM
Well, if you do it on IRC, you need to post detailed instructions on how to get there BEFORE the game opens. Give us a time and date that the IRC channel will be made and tell us how to get there, then do it then. I, for one, never use IRC, and don't know that I'll know how to get to the channel if you just give brief instructions.
