Gym Leader (RBY)

jx-felt it lacks the layer for bass drum inconsistently (mainly 4ths)

blu-missed some synth 8th notes in some parts, listen carefully
I'm not entirely sure what you guys mean by this. Can you give measure examples, so I can get this back in to tass?

Slow Down

jx-could be layered better imo, also felt a bit long
What parts? Also, I cut the last minute out. that should be better. Just kinda makes it one-hand biased now, since it doesn't repeat.

Tass, I'll re-send Gym Leader once I fix it up a bit more. Sent you the fixed dwi for Tears of Remorse.

P.S. Can I send in 3 new files and 2 resubmits you didn't see?

okay it actually is good, one thing I'd definitely change though is the right handed 16th jacks near the beginning; way harder than anything else in the file

Oh crap, I just realized that one of the songs that I sent in for the next batch has 2 charts.

Use the oni chart, not the edit. Also, I realize that I have to cut out the first 40 seconds that I didn't step, but not doing that until I see how it does.

Or do I have to resend it?

xander: that's fine

sc979: if you have 40 sec of blank to start a file and it has 2 charts... your best bet is to re-send it.

However, I am speaking generally, and since the judges didn't even play the file, I could be wrong.
Just to be specific, my song is easy because since I have the original sheet music and the mp3 is played off of the computer program that designed it, and it was made at 150 BPM, it is perfectly at 150BPM, and since I have the sheet music in front of me when stepping this, the notes/rhythms are exactly the same as the song, and trust me, it sounds that way, no one graded it seriously (or even could have if they tried) due to the audio quality, hence why I was so adamant about always reminding them to try the new file or make the volume really loud, but it's okay, next time it'll get in for sure

see, my file doesn't suck, at all! It just had a bad audio file, I believe the judges will completely change their minds after playing it again, so much that I'm willing to bet that if I send it in to JX and Blu now for a quick review, they will give it 5+, and I'll bet on that

EDIT: Tass, are you willing to bet that score on a resubmit, and if I lose, I get banned for a week and credits wiped?

Stavie, if you double-post one more time, I'm personally going to hack tass' account just to ban you.

Seriously. It's really obnoxious. just edit your first post.

stavie

For the love of god stop double posting, especially about your drum file. I'm sure you're very proud of it and you're sure of its quality, but until you get it in none of us are ever going to see your file and you can't hype a file up unless you have some clout.

We don't care about how you think it's an injustice that you sent a file with really ****ty audio, we don't care if you think that it's the best thing since sliced bread. You can't assert that the file is better than half the files currently being accepted because all of the files that are getting accepted have passed through the most rigorous judging FFR has seen and are guaranteed to be quality files and you have no clout to make such claims.

Just chill with the posting, because it's not necessary for us to have to hear about this file 5 times on every page. You can put multiple quotes in one post, so just do it if you feel some compelling urge to post about your song.

just stop

please

EDIT superninja'd but whatever

I have a question, FFR has an existing song called Epic by Zerofuser. Soon I plan to step a song with the same name by Ephexis. Will two songs with the same name by different people have any impact?

The artists' names will be added to the title, like Euphoria [Antimonie] and Euphoria [Smiley] or whatever their names are.

Basically the chart should be a good representation of the song.

So, if the song gets more intense, so should the chart. Step up the layering or something.

There are, however, a multitude of ways to intensify the chart but technical ways are more likely to accepted.

Same. I really want to play He's A Radical Rat.

P.S. I already have a fixed version of RATO. I'll look at JX's notes, fix that sutff and send it back in. I can do that right?
