Question In the world of techno.

So, I just got an iPod touch recently and Im about to cram this thing with tons of techno, so that leaves me to ask you all:

If you consider trance to fall into the Techno genre I would suggest B0UNC3, {DJ N}, and BassHunter.

K people it's not called techno!!! They're are things called SUB GENRES!!! Depends on what style you want. For example: Speedcore / Hardcore go with Sharpnel .

I recommend atleast getting a taste for Jumpstyle. The only bad thing: There's a good portion of mainstream artists that are sub-par at best, so get some indie stuff if you can.

Recommended artists:
-Headhunterz
-DJ Patrick
-Patrick Jumpen
-Jeckyll & Hyde

Seriously... Daft Punk's Alive 2007 is one of the best live CD's ever made...
It's one of those CD's everyone should own.

I'm not really sure what to suggest because, as verra said, "techno" doesn't really tell me much. Trance? Vocal trance? House? Hard style? Hardcore? Breakbeat? I'll list off a few classic anthems, gems that no ones ever heard of, and songs that I just plain like. If you like what you hear, look into more stuff from that artist.

Born Slippy NUXX - Underworld
Dark Train - Underworld
Mindcircus (Gabriel & Dresden Club Mix) - Way Out West
Finished Symphony - Hybrid (blows Tiesto's Adagio For Strings out of the water)
Carte Blanche - Veracocha
Blue Fear - Armin Van Buuren
1998 - Binary Finary
Suburban Train - Tiesto
Vimana - Tiesto feat. Ferry Corsten
Obsession - Tiesto feat. Junkie XL
Punk - Ferry Corsten
Rock Your Body, Rock - Ferry Corsten
Arcadia - Gabriel & Dresden
Phat Planet - Leftfield
Beachball - Nalin & Kane
Requiem for a Dream (Leama's Dream Mix) - Leama
Purple (Sasha vs. The Light) - Gus Gus
Forbidden Fruit - Paul Van Dyk
Out of the Blue - System F
Xpander - Sasha
God is a DJ - Faithless
Exploration of Space - Cosmic Gate
Flight 643 - Tiesto
Summer is Calling - Aquagen
The Drill - Dirt Devils
The Fruit - Sander Kleinenberg
For An Angel - Paul Van Dyk

Most of these songs fall into the trance genre, and its various sub-genres beyond that. Note that a lot of these songs are actually the only good songs from their artists, or from back when they were in their prime. The Paul Van Dyk and Armin Van Buuren songs are a good example. Now, they're about as imaginative as a rock.

Knock yourself out.

Sorry for the misconception. I generalize music genres to myself. So, when I say Techno, I mean Techno/Trace/Electronica/House/Club/etc. Anything that can be remotely associated.

And wow at all the results. Ill be sure to check out all these artists. Thanks.

Smith & Pledger for some melodic trance.

Don't go anywhere near Sharpnel or Scooter.
