Wait a minute, if we're supposed to PM you with good riddles, how are points going to work if you actually use them? o_O

Regardless, I sent one.

good question. LOL

I suppose even modifying it is no good. Thus, I will be able to post it for fun.

If it's a COMPLETELY original and really good brain teaser or something then I may use it and you can get a free pass.

The question has nothing to do with Binary. That was something I did when I was bored.

Binary will repeat if you only use 8 digits. To go past 255, you need to use a 9th digit. That will take you to 511.

Please. Draw it out or something. It's so easy.

PS - Mayhaps we can have a different host every week? Or maybe these can be once every day or so since a week is a long time.

whoa chill out on the every day thing, some of us are slow. Although unless I wake up with the solutions tomorrow, I'm not going to know them ever.

Stupid hourglasses. I can get 8,10,11,12 (well, 8 and 12 are easy) but not 9.

it all ends in 0 because eight is an even number, so it ends in a 0 in binary.

PS. Don't look that hard.

I know why it ends in zero's. I know because i figured that out when i wrote it all out.

These riddles make no sense to me anymore. The more i think the farther away im probably getting.

Regardless, I will supply 3 problems next week.

You're 11. Must be 13 to be on the forums w/o written parental consent.

UUA = Underage User Alert.

But I'm lazy and you're a fairly nice guy. So I don't wanna ban you.

I think this already has come up and he had parental consent or something. Don't think it was written, but whatever.

Hey banditcom, I'm having trouble too. I'm about five minutes away from giving up. I feel I should be able figure out both easy, but I just can't seem to get either.

Yeah, but thinking inside the box isn't getting either of us the answers. This makes me feel dumb =(

Don't worry. I mean, most people that got #2 have seen it before. And then like 30% of people that submitted have gotten #1 wrong. I won't make all the problems next week hard either.

ps: 26 submissions and counting.

don't think I don't know that bandit... I've said to myself "you're not thinking outside the box... why not think of this in a different way?" but it doesn't work if you try to force yourself. The only thing that occurred to me was that maybe you could lay an hourglass on its side to pause it or something, but that doesn't seem to help. I'm trying to get it to be 4+4+1 = 9 since getting a 2 out of 4 and 7 seems kind of impossible. Maybe it's not, dunno.

The series... meh. series. no one cares about them.
