Re: TWG XLI Hosting Singups
I think the 18 player superhuman + seer vs 3 wolves (1 master) game should be played just to prove a point for one side or the other. >_>

Re: TWG XLI Hosting Singups
Yea I don't like 4 wolf games unless there are at least 18 players. But the more you add the more inactivity you have.
I'll agree with kilga on this one though. |

What's the superhuman game? I'm not familiar, but I'd be up for hosting it.

Upon a certain condition being met, the host will roll a die with sides equal to the number of players, the chosen play is then informed of one of the wolves identity (random) and the wolf is also informed of the witness's identity. For certain condition being met, it could be something like: N1 = Roll 1 100-Sided die, upon revealing a 1-5, the witness event is triggered. (5 % chance) N2 = Roll 1 100 Sided die, upon revealing a 1-15, the witness event is triggered. (15 % chance) N3 = Roll 1 100-Sided die, upon revealing a 1-30, the witness event is triggered. (30 % chance) N4 = Roll 1 100 Sided die, upon revealing a 1-50, the witness event is triggered. (50 % chance) N5 = Roll 1 100 Sided die, upon revealing a 1-75, the witness event is triggered. (75 % chance) N6 = If by night six the witness event has not triggered, it will trigger. (also, if these numbers seem off from what someone has used/seen, I just made them up.) |

NEVERMIND THE WITNESS GAME
Too many loopholes, and too one-sided to be any fun. someone can just keep bearing witness and keep being guarded.

Witness event gets triggered once per game in most cases.

Re: TWG XLI Hosting Singups
I'd prefer more of a non-traditional twist; something new, but that's just me. Nija's idea towards the end of page 1 sounds fine by me though.

EDIT: I JUST thought of this, and I'm assuming it needs balancing, but look at this: 16 players 2 *UNNAMED ROLES* - X for now. 2 Seers 4 Wolves X - If this player is night killed, a random wolf will also be killed. ~ Balance away. Edit again: I think if the wolves got one wolf seer or something that would see "Seer" "X" and "Human" (respectively) it would be more balanced. Also, this makes for an interesting "is this player X or a seer?" 'Should we kill them?' Last edited by DiscoBobbyPARANOiA; 01-21-2007 at 11:18 PM.. |

Re: TWG XLI Hosting Singups
2 kamikazes plus 2 seers with a 1:4 wolf ratio? Seems a bit hard for the wolves. I'd go with 1 wolf seer and think that through like suggested (with detailed vision results). I'd like to play this game.

The superhuman wouldn't count toward the human population in determining when the wolves can kill him either.

@kilga: I'd be willing to play the same game we just did, but not without a game intermission at least.
Edit: I'd play it, I'd just rather not. (sorry if that sounded... asshole-ish) |

Re: TWG XLI Hosting Singups
I'm not saying we shuld play the same game, I'm saying we should modify it a bit to reflect the happenings after a couple of nights (one wolf + both guardians gone) with the serial killer actually being a human role.

Re: TWG XLI Hosting Singups
Well, yes, I understand. My concern is that we just played the game you spelled out. Be it what we planned on playing or not. I'd rather play something else and go back to it afterwards.
About the game I proposed, I talked to stoic about balancing issues, and here are a couple of ideas: 16 players 2 Kamikazes 2 Seers 1 Wolf 1 Wolf seer 2 Wolf Vigilantes Kamikaze: if night killed will kill a random wolf Wolf seer: Will check one person per night for role, not color. Results come back AFTER the kill for the night has been decided, and in the form of "human" "seer" and "kamikaze" Wolf Vigilante: once per game (during the night phase) can choose to kill one person. If they hit a kamikaze, no wolves are lost in the process and the kamikaze is killed as normal. I think the way I had it was mad slanted towards the humans, so this should balance it out a bit. Another possibility would be to have the seer see "green" "blue" and "red", or take that one step further and see "human" "wolf" "seer" and "kamikaze" Or even one more step and have the seer see exact role. Anything is possible, and I would like to see the game be as balanced as people think possible. On a side note, false reveals will be highly possible in this game, and if two people die in one night it can mean either a vigi or a kamikaze kill. Brace for impact. |

Re: TWG XLI Hosting Singups
Ok guys, everyone who keeps putting game ideas out there need to pick one and run with it so people can vote.
So far I'm voting for disco 38 (latest game of many roles.) However I would say -1 seer and let the wolf seer get his result the same night he sends it in. But I see how having 4 blues is crucial so I would throw in a fake blue or 2 (person doesn't know he's this role) so wolves won't know if they actually got a real blue or not. It worked pretty good when we were wolves with a similar setup. |
