Default Trans-Siberian Orchestra

They're coming to Ottawa this Wednesday, and I scored tickets to see them at Scotiabank Place. Has anyone seen them live? I love their music a lot!

I've been to three, one Christmas and two normal. All of them were amazing. Depending on the venue they are playing at the show can be pretty darn awesome or downright amazing. I was in one place that was pretty open and they had some sick flames to go with their awesome laser show as well. Cool stuff. All their shows and CD's have stories, so that always makes the concerts and LOT of fun. You'll enjoy it if you go, I would probably put money on that if I had some.

Amazing group of people, that's for sure.

Read the story that came in the dual-CD Nightcastle album of theirs that came out a few years ago. Mind = blown.

Holy shit, these guys are incredible. While Wizard In Winter (and that one guy's DIY lightshow) put them on the map, I find myself enjoying their rock-and-roll takes on classics like In The Hall Of The Mountain King.

Going to see them in Houston on December 23rd. I guess a lot of people got pissed since last year's was on December 7th. The majority of the past year's concerts have been less than a week before or after Christmas.

I got a drumstick autographed last year. What to get autographed this year...

PS. I've been seeing them for the past 6 or so years. Never gets old. I love the story.

Went to one a year ago. Absolutely amazing concert.

They did a dramatic story thing about a lone child and an old man that played out as they performed the music.
This was right after my dad had died. I cried.

Just got back from it, and it was AMAZING! Definitely did not disappoint. Oh, and I was in a suite up top. Too bad the drinking age is 19, because they had sooo much booze that I couldn't get my hands on. Definitely going to see them again next year!!

Talking to my new work about playing Trans-Siberian Orchestra music. They think it's a great idea and a lot of my new co-workers love TSO. I told them the only CD they would really need is "Christmas Eve & Other Stories" since it is the exact same music they play at the concerts, but they play some music from their other albums plus some new music.

Sounds like the story behind The Lost Christmas Eve, which contains the aforementioned Wizard In Winter. (I lost my dad in May of last year to advanced brain cancer. You need a bro-hug, I'm here.)

I've seen them quite a few times now. Not particularly my type of music, but the people who drag me there seem to like it.

They were at the Pepsi Arena (now called the NY Times Arena which is a pretty lame name imo) about five years ago (I think). I kind of regret not going considering how epic they are. Hope you have a great time though!

Little late iironiic =]

I have a custom of getting band members' autographs on playing cards (like bicycle decks of cards) with one person per card. TSO raped nearly a whole deck (~30 signatures).
