Yes, but you MUST have a significant amount of XP before you do it, otherwise it's a waste of stat points. Make sure you have enough XP to level up at least 200000/(REBIRTH+3) times. It is better when you can add some of these stat points to Neetery, or to Tactics and Rage!!!, and still have some for 20 Hardcoreness.

If you're into calculations, then here are some formulas:

LVLGAIN = [200000/(REBIRTH+3)]
The number of levels you need to gain from buying Enlightenment in order to be able to purchase 20 Hardcoreness again. If you can't see your REBIRTH level, then REBIRTH = 0.

XPNEEDED > LVLGAIN*250*(LEVEL + LVLGAIN/2 + 1.5)
The amount of XP you need so that buying Enlightenment leaves you with enough to buy it again.

Of course, if you wait longer before using Enlightenment, it will be MUCH better for you.

i usually sleep on my stat points while i wait for enlightenment, but i dunno if i need to wait that long anymore since i'm at 4 rebirths

Here's some more math.

The amount of XP needed to go from 0 to 100 MASTERY without ever buying Master Slice is
(10^9)*(2^100-1), or 1.267650600228229401496703205375e+39 XP.

The amount of XP needed to go from 0 to 100 MASTERY after buying Master Slice M times is
[(10^9)*(2^100-1)]*[(9/10)^M], or (1.267650600228229401496703205375e+39)*(0.9^M) XP.

The amount of STAT POINTS needed to buy Master Slice M times is M*50*10000.

Master Slice is very useful and, after using Enlightenment efficiently, very inexpensive.
For example, if you have 1.0e+15 XP, then after buying Master Slice 527 times, you can go from 0 to 100 MASTERY instantly.
Buying Master Slice 527 times costs 527*50 HARDCORENESS, which costs 527*50*10000, or 263500000 STAT POINTS.
Again, after using Enlightenment efficiently, 263500000 STAT POINTS should be very easy to get.

The biggest downside of this strategy is clicking the + button to gain HARDCORENESS.
In the example above, you would have to click the + button 26350 times in order to instantly go from 0 to 100 MASTERY in one spending of XP.

Oh well. If you have that kind of time, this strategy might be for you.

EDIT: My assumption was wrong. Master Slice increases MASTERY by 10%, not decreases the total MASTERY required by 10%.
I will edit this math later. Basically, you buy some MASTERY with some XP first, and then XP*(1.1^M) = 1.26765e+39.

One HIT takes about 0.2 seconds to perform. Assuming that you gain a level per HIT, the time it takes to go from 0 to 200000 STAT POINTS is 40000/(REBIRTH+3) seconds. For you, that's 1 hour and 36 minutes.

I usually just wait as well until I can buy my first one. Then I can actively increase my XP-gain rate without having to idle.

How useful is master slice? Does it just reduce the exp needed for that mastery level, or for every mastery level? Game's rather nondescript about that.

Don't have a clue is an acceptable answer.
