Obviously it means they're gonna cement it so no one can hack-n-slash their way through it xD

Re: Rumor: Hack-Proof PS3 In Development
Too bad they made up stuff about GeoHot to falsely incriminate him so that lawsuit is out of the window. Furthermore,

Well, I would agree that nothing is unhackable, but you can put in enough fail safes to where it is 99% detectable when using online services. They will hack it and get rejected from online games.

Re: Rumor: Hack-Proof PS3 In Development
There is no such thing as a hack-proof game system. Sure, it'll be detectable when jumping online and it'll nullify any of the work done to break the game's firmware, but it'll be done just so that people could say that they beat the almighty "hack-proof" PS3.

Re: Rumor: Hack-Proof PS3 In Development
fact: sony announced this as a clever marketing ploy to get people to buy the new "unhackable" ps3s with additional failsafes in order to make more money.

Re: Rumor: Hack-Proof PS3 In Development
Apparently, GeoHot posted a how to video on how to enter the PS3's mastry code that was hacked by a group called fail0verdrive onto one's sytem . (iirc). Sony got butthurt, made a fake PSN account called 'Geo1Hot', tried to falsely incriminate him, and now the real GeoHot is considering counter suing for major cash.
