"randomizing" the sample start?
Is there any way you can edit the sample start, so everytime you scroll over the song, it will play 12 random seconds of it?

That would be awesome, but the only way is to choose the start of it by pressing [ and ]. Gets annoying when you're trying to find just the right spot.

Use Goldwave and pinpoint the exact location of the start and finish, Bahamut. Then you subtract and put both in the notepad. I thought everyone does that o_O.
Also I don't really like the 10 seconds thing. No real reason, it's just the randomness that I wouldn't like. |

uh what
Just open up editor, scroll to the place you want to start and end, look at current seconds. |

i just wanted to know if you could randomize it when you scroll over the song, it would play a random 12 seconds, not just a set time frame.

RE: "randomizing" the sample start?
I know what he's talking about. When you make a simfile, you don't choose the start and end of a sample... the selection is random every time you scroll over a song during game mode. I don't think there is a way to do this because of the limitations required by .dwi and .sm files, but that's just a standpoint based on what I've seen.
