Re: File Testing
I tested omg's file as well and agree with what everyone else was saying about the jumps... hopefully I can send you something more detailed in a second after playing back through it and unlazying myself.

Re: File Testing
It's a good thing that people (especially those who aren't used to FFR sims) get some prejudges before submitting files to FFR.

Re: File Testing
I don't think reviews should go in this thread, it'll majorly clutter it up and will make people less likely to use us.
P.S. DO NOT POST A LINK TO YOUR FILE IN THIS THREAD. IT WILL GET LEAKED. Come on. Just send judges the link. Edit: I'd also recommend just using a couple judges for accountability.

Re: File Testing
Yeah since basically FFR files shouldn't be public, so you can't post the link of files you are going to submit here.
also, don't send your file to more than 2-3 people for testing. |

Re: File Testing
I've only tested 3 files npv sent one to everyone on the list, stickly sent one to people who offered and flipsta had a link up so I dled that one too.
People can assume they can just send me files and that I'll get back to them.

Okay, so I'll keep in mind not to e-mail everybody the file next time >_> wanted more opinions.
Vote4Nixon, it's all going to your bulk then. Also, now, if we only send to 2-3 people, keep in mind the lower-level testers won't have much (if any) to test. |

Re: File Testing
This is a good idea. I will be glad to test some files if you guys want. I have sent some files to FFR, but dont know the result of them. So basically, I have no songs in game nor any packs. But Im still trying. My files are decent enough to play and logically correct, but according to some, not correct in the way I percieve it. Oh ya, Ive only started seriously working on stepping files about 2 months ago. I canbe a regular tester to. I dont mind, but knowing that my colro is black, I dont know how much that will change things. If the emailer has hotmail, thats even better. I will be on msn messenger as much as possible. send me a tell telling me you sent something though. I dont get that many important stuff on email, so I could overlook it.
cvk2_paranoiaevil@hotmail.com is my email. Like I said, I have completed numerous filesand struggling now as well as procrastinating on finishing my S G freak by Sharpnel. If you want, I can send you the files as proof. I think I got about 6-7 files completed, dont know. only 4-5 are sent to FFR and 2 was sent to the rf pack and got rejected, one for song choice and the other was because they didn't like my file that much. None extremely public like in FFR or in packsyet, so not sure on color. Have files also that needs to be tested. Send over anything you want and Ill try and get back to you guys Operationstrawbarry edit: where do the resulting comments go? Do we ourselves just email the stepper on how they did or what? Re: File Testing
If there was a way to have your own widget, like the bands who request them do, with being able to put your own simfiles for testing in them, that would be great because FFR is a bit different then Stepmania when it comes to playing the file. Stepmania has inconsistent speeds if there are bpm changes and I really don't like that. DDReamStudio keeps the same speed, but it's too lenient on the judging of the notes being hit and it has bugs that forces me to quit out of it often. I could mention other good things about personal FFR widgets, but it would be out of subject.

It makes it so the arrows scroll at a constant rate, regardless of the BPM.
