for the most part the role of the guardian is to guard the seer

In case anyone was wondering, I fled with .5 items less than half of the items in the game, owned. At first, I had zero information to trade/sell. I bluffed at all intersections right up until the point I was having a conversation with Talisman, about to sell him my "info", when roundbox gave himself away to me. He wanted the guard's name, and I "sold" him thunder. I never knew sert until I was dead and only knew a wolf once roundbox came to me. Roundbox made me a pretty bad deal and talisman was somewhat willing, and actually able, to make me a much better one, so I immediately "sold" him roundbox just minutes after roundbox came to me. Flaw and I traded early game trust N1, and it was going fairly well IMO but he decided to come out against my advice anyways, out of fear of his trust in me. My original plan was to come out and offer my services in being a temporary human alliance figure-head before I fled town, knowing neither side would logically want me dead (as well as having the lucky charm for protection). I'd do this in exchange for (used) items, but Flaw's coming out essentially ruined this initial plan, causing me to go with the much riskier total bluff. My claim wasn't too far out there (guard's name via flaw's contact, more than possible but didn't actually happen, and a N1 item usage on a wolf's identity, somewhat possible and also false) but it wasn't what I had planned or wanted. Also worth noting, I did not steal from myself a single time (my secret "plan" to keep my items safe), but the threat alone was enough to deter, and moderately upset, kilga, as I had anticipated.

Re: TWG XLVI Postgame
the seer has nothing to do with the fact that talisman was successfully guarded. If you'll take note, talisman wasn't the guard.
Say there wasn't a guard, and talisman was still the leader like he always tries to be, and was successfully guarded, bam same situation. Seer has nothing to do with it. |

I really do hate you for that. I had so much info this game. Probably second only to Talisman himself.

Re: TWG XLVI Postgame
I had a lot of fun early on. the endgame was kinda lame though. I tried to liven it up by making pnt and mamimi duel but they wouldn't oblige me. I guess I should have just pushed for the insta on mamimi like I originally planned to save time, but eh.
Also, there were moments of hair-pulling frustration in this game, particularly with pnt (only early on) and xero, related to issues of info withholding and whatnot. And then xero said his partner was sertman (which apparently was a complete lie). That combined with this story he told me about receiving a bag of gold and then having it taken away from him before he could use it or some such nonsense made me actually suspect him and was the cause for my second guessing of my scrying. Moral of the story is, if you're a human, don't lie to the alliance leader. It's just stupid. My favorite part of the game was probably my long convo with stoic. We were both sort of testing each other and probing for info and whatnot. Very fun. |

Re: TWG XLVI Postgame
the ONE person it wouldn't have worked with was the guard. son of a bitch i'm the unluckiest person alive. Well if you had talked to me all game I wouldn't have attempted it and I would have had a way of getting my late game vote I had been manipulating for early on. When the plan was hatched, I was 75% sure Tali was a wolf anyway. -_-
Welp thats another experiment gone. Live and learn, next game I'll have to tone down the trixy. Sonofabitch. Also I've never been a wolf, so from this game forward no one can ever suspect me of being a wolf no matter how I behave k?

Re: TWG XLVI Postgame
if you dont understand why I would try to do that, outside of the fact that getting u wolfed woulda been hilarious, then you are like 80% of other people playing and think only in 1 or 2 step logic. Sorry no dice there.
also casting suspicion on myself is something I can choose to do, and it really doesn't matter, though it did later in the game when I got caught up in my own lies.

Re: TWG XLVI Postgame
xero, it's a team game. I was very clearly established as the alliance leader late in the game. At that point, you tell me the truth, and you tell me everything. NEVER as a human try to cast suspicion on yourself. Especially in the presence of a centralized alliance. You just make yourself a distraction, and, in this case, made me switch away from having mamimi scryed, which would have saved us some time.

Re: TWG XLVI Postgame
No hard feelings. You gave me a pretty bad deal, and happened to become my meal ticket at the same time. You offered me "fiction should have a revolver on his body the next night provided it's still there and isn't used and isn't stolen and isn't passed, etc, etc, etc" where as talisman offered me 1-2 items in the form of a pass, infinitely better deal as it lets me use my steal as well.
