Re: TWG CLVIII: Game Thread - Survivor Valais
You should have read my previous game.
I was inactive Day 1 and I had the highest postcount in Day 3. I'm also on vacations and I have a ton of free time compared to my first games. |

Well, I think at the rate I'm posting, solving me is going to happen sooner or later.
Probably going to sleep for now. I have nothing against anyone currently online. |

As I said in the signups, there's no incentive to massclaiming in this game. In TWG, utilitarianism makes sense because town victory is still victory even after death. In survivor, martyring ourselves nets no such merits. This is entirely an individualistic game. Also, fakeclaiming is a possiblity you shouldn't be neglecting. I think you'd realize this, though, given that we went through this exact conversation in signups. Honestly, more than anything, your mindless enthusiasm for "absolutely fucking" the wolves despite taking a loss makes me think that you might be one trying to get "cleared" by fakeclaiming early. Re: TWG CLVIII: Game Thread - Survivor Valais
ShadoWolfe, explain me how "playing your way" is going to increase your chances of being alive at the end of the game.
There's no Cop to hide, there's no bs to protect. Optimally speaking, you just want to win as fast as possible to avoid being a victim of "collateral damage" @ NKs. I'm pretty sure every Survivor will agree that they want to win as fast as possible before they see their name appear when the next Day starts. |

This is where fatalism gets annoying.

Re: TWG CLVIII: Game Thread - Survivor Valais
oh cmon, just because I act in a fatalistic way doesn't mean I won't change my mind later on when there's a reason to care.
I just feel like it's the most interesting thing to do "right now". |

Re: TWG CLVIII: Game Thread - Survivor Valais
You're still thinking of it in terms of having no control over what'll happen to you, so the utilitarian approach of maximizing survivors appeals to you because it increases your "odds" of surviving.
NKs aren't "collateral damage". Wolves generally target the strongest townreads (unless they suspect a PR) to hide among the remaining black sheep. Know how to avoid being NKed? Become a black sheep. Not black enough to get lynched, hopefully, but still black. The two games of survivor I've played (epicmaf) were both won by my wolfreads, who ended up winning as survivors after most other survivors had been mislynched or nightkilled. I was actually mislynched D2 in one of em because I seemed "too town" for survivor. The things that happen in this game happen because you make them so, not because they were going to happen anyways and you're just collateral damage.

I agree with what you say, but I still don't see the point.

Someone please explain to me why I feel like Yoda every time I talk to Hakulyte.
In other news, I'm off to bed, this headache is literally splitting my brain apart. Ohwait, it's already split into two hemispheres. Well, it's tearing my corpus callosum to shreds. G'night. You guys massclaim if you want, more info is always good and I can't be hurt if I don't take part. Have fun, I'mma be right here chillin where I should be. G'night. @Haku you're not dense, just fatalistic af. Bon nuit.

Re: TWG CLVIII: Game Thread - Survivor Valais
Take care. \o
..all these posts were sponsored by Fatalistic Haku inc. Our company sell domestic wolves for blind people who can't read ! I have one myself. It's a fantastic thing. I can follow it blindly and it can lead me to interesting places every time I decide to go play outside! I highly suggest one if you also can't read. They can be a little Tokzic sometimes if you don't take care of them. Just make sure you treat them well, because even if they're idiots, they can still eat you alive haha! Charu knows. Thanks for your patronage and see you again tomorrow~ |

I'm more on Haku's side on this. I rather a survivor win then a wolf and even if my death means I lost, ehh...is what it is.
That said, mass claiming when we have can just have fakes probably won't help. I stand by SunFan's idea still, though |

Re: TWG CLVIII: Game Thread - Survivor Valais
I was first to just take a refreshing shower tho and I get to drive to school but there's annoying construction on the way so it adds 20 more minutes to the 15 minute drive. Life is unfair
