Re: :B
Be careful. WoW has been proven to quite literally destroy your social life. My good friend severed his ties with it, but when he played it he was like a robot. It's not even funny.

Re: :B
Only possible way to make the game fun is make a private server n which you are a GM.

If your girlfriend plays, she's a guy.
My brother plays, it's regular mmo grind if you're into that, it's boring imo though.

Re: :B
WoW will not ruin you life...you will ruin your life if you don't know how to manage your time.
Private servers are like playing a game with cheats, fun at first but when you can 1shot a raid boss it just isn't fun anymore. |

Re: :B
I take 2 week breaks in between 2 month game cards, as it takes about 59 days for me to become addicted again.

I played WoW for a month or so. Never got into it. Same thing over and over: Go here, kill five monsters/gather five plants/etc. and return for money and xp. Then go to this other place and do the same thing.
Too much grinding to be fun for me. |

Re: :B
To be honest, this game is fun for a while alone because there are many quests to do and if you follow the story lines of some of the chain quests, they can get really interesting and exciting to do. I remember I couldn't sleep until I completed the Nintendo parody quest line. The NPC's name was Linken and after you finish all the quests in the chain, he gives you Linken's Boomerang and either Linken's Shield or Linken's Sword, the sword having much resemblance to the Master Sword it was suppose to imitate (Also, the gorillas in the area would drop Empty Barrels, and there are a ton more references as you progress).
However, once you get to end-game, after finishing a couple of end-game quests and getting everything that's worth getting after hitting level 70, it gets boring to play alone. I played frequently until I got my epic mount, which costs 5000 G, no small sum. I got it in a relatively short time because I played the Auction House game where I buy items low and sell high, and then I lost complete interest in playing alone. Now, all I do is play WoW when there is a raid, which is basically multiplayer content with my friends. The WoW experience is so much more enriching when you have good friends to play with. It's how MMORPGs survive. Some people enjoy the PVP element of WoW, I personally don't because no one knows how to play as a team and most of them just sit there doing nothing because they are afk. Also, I hate PVP because I suck at it. ~Tsugomaru

Re: :B
I've been playing since beta, and I don't see myself stopping any time soon. Over 3000 hours combined total played time on all of my characters. Overall it's a fun game, thats why people are addicted.

Re: :B
Oh, and the ridiculous lack of low level content made me hate the game.
There is nothing to do until level 60, and all you have to do before then is collect quests. |

Re: :B
Are you kidding me? You first 10 levels will be spent on completing quests (well, for the Horde anyways) and after that, if you every bored of questing, you can do instances with a group of five and that usually isn't very hard to put together. Also, low level PvP can be fun because there isn't any 40v40 games where more than 2/3 of the people are afk and everyone playing participates.
World of Warcraft offers the most things to do at any level than all the MMORPGs I have played. ~Tsugomaru

Re: :B
Well, I did a raid on my friends account, but he was a level 14...I got like, halfway to an orc town, that we had to taken a really, really long train ride to get to some dwarven metropolis, then had to walk through some snow, until like a desert area, then I died.

I made it to level 18 in like 3 days but then quit. It's really overrated.

Re: :B
Level 14 isn't quite strong enough to participate in any type of raiding.
How is it overrated if you can level quickly? Unlike most MMORPGs, the point of this game isn't to spend thousands of hours grinding to gain one level by repeatedly killing a monster. If you believe that the game is too easy when you've heard it was difficult, you've heard incorrectly, the game is easy, but there's so much to do. ~Tsugomaru

Re: :B
Nice One-Piece quote, well, I tried to get the Free 10 Day Trial, but it said my number is messed up.How is it supposed to look?
I put it in like this: 123 4567 1234567 123-4567 None of those worked, and that's not my number, just an example. |
