Chrono Trigger for Nintendo DS announced
that's right finally the dreams of those who wanted a Remake of Chrono Trigger has been granted, square enix already launched a countdown web page and everything so is officially announced.
http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/02/sq...no-trigger-ds/ i myself think this was one of the Best RPGs on the SNES and sadly i didn't manage to beat it because of certain reasons so i will be more than happy to buy it for the DS when it comes out. |

Re: Chrono Trigger for Nintendo DS announced
It's not exactly an announcement if they haven't announced it.
But we all know it's coming. |

Re: Chrono Trigger for Nintendo DS announced
I don't know if I'll get it unless they add some new stuff to make it different enough from the SNES version.
Just because I played the SNES version enough and wouldn't want to play it again. |

Re: Chrono Trigger for Nintendo DS announced
Dont get your hopes up, with every single super nintendo classic remade for a portable system has been crappy easy. FF3 easy on DS, hard on nintendo, FF4 remake on gba, easy on gba, hard on SNES, ff5 and ff6, easy on gba, hard on SNES
This is just going to follow in those foot steps, easy on DS, hard on SNES

Re: Chrono Trigger for Nintendo DS announced
I actually enjoyed the FFIV advance game for GBA. Though yes, it was easier.

Re: Chrono Trigger for Nintendo DS announced
If it was an identical port that retailed for around $20 I would get it.

So they're adding multiplayer mode and a new dungeon. I wonder how MP's gonna work out. :| I really don't wanna wait for this.

Re: Chrono Trigger for Nintendo DS announced
Somebody said it was just a port with touch controls. In other words...don't hope for a completely revamped game. Square Enix is too lazy to do that.

Face the facts, FF4 is 3 times harder on SNES than it will ever be on any other console/handheld system Same with every other rpg

first i've been in the FF bussiness since i was a little kid. second if you read my post i am talking DS VERSIONS i never mentioned the words GBA on my post, so try to read before you talk =P. i don't disagree with you, the GBA version was indeed easy (though easy =/= crappy ) which is why i just dropped that version and now i'm waiting for the DS one that is based on the real SNES version. that and the new buffed boss strategies and more customizable characters =P. guess you are the noob here because this is info any FF fan should already know XD and also not all RPGs are easier than the SNES/NES RPGS *points at dragon quest VIII* i had the original dragon quest 1 and 2 imports from japan and they were easy compared to VIII. as far as chrono trigger goes, i don't care if is a port, it's been a long time since i played that game and i can't play it again because of my lack of SNES so i'm very happy for this port/remake. Re: Chrono Trigger for Nintendo DS announced
First FF4, then Dragon Quest 4,5, and 6, now this. Square Enix is making a lot of old fans (and new ones) happy again. Can't wait!!
