rubix: hit me up on AIM about it... my dad, my brothers, myself, probably 2-3 of my brother's friends, maybe my best friend and his girlfriend... all for the tailgating. i know my best friend won't have tickets, but he lives in south philly so he'll probably come to hang out.

i think we're planning on getting down there between 3-4.

On another note, my soccer game was rescheduled from Friday to tomorrow night due to field repairs...I will sadly miss most of the game. DVR FTW.

I went to Thomas Jefferson Elementary, lived like five minutes away.

HAHAHA you went to TJ?! Awesome! I went to Bells Elementary. I went Chestnut Ridge for 6th grade and they built Bunker Hill that year so I got sent to Orchard Valley for 7th-8th. I lived in Twin Ponds across the street from the high school.

So Dobbs is DH'ing tonight...I like it. Anyone else agree?

P.S we are getting a huuuuuuge rain storm over the weekend. Hurricane Schwarz (those who have lived here will know he is ALWAYS right) said we are getting 20-30 mph winds blowing out of the stadium. Normally I don't know if I like this, but a day off could mean that Hamels will pitch game 4, meaning he could be available for game 7.

Sadly, if this is so, I'll miss his start. =/.

I actually met Hurricane Schwartz a few years back during a "young weatherman" competition where little kids got to read weather predictions.

so i just got back from the game... here is my tale:

3pm, my 2 brothers, my dad, and i all leave to go down to south philly and tailgate.
4pm, we arrive at Famous Dave's for a late lunch of pulled pork and ribs.
5:30pm, we reach the stadium and commence tailgating. much alcohol is consumed. many friends show up and banter with us.
7:30pm, it begins to rain... it goes off and on between light mist and heavy downpour. as such, we go between chilling outside of the car and chilling inside of the car.
9:30pm, we find out the game will be starting at 10, so we make our way inside the stadium.
9:50pm, we get to our seats... section 135 row 1. we sat first row, directly behind the tarp up the 3rd base line. we were on TV many many many times.
1:40am, Phillies win.
2:00am, we get back to the car.
2:30am, we start leaving the parking lot.
3:20am, we get back home... after almost getting into a fight with another vehicle.

all in all, it was an excellent day. with amazing seats. even better than our normal season ticket seats. row 1 was just plain sick.
