There's a Touhou pack I used that gave me a significant skill jump within a day.. I used to mash level 10 songs, but now I can get Perfect Attacks on them.

It may be weird to ask, but do you have tinnitus? It's basically like a high-pitched ringing sound that some people hear for short periods of time due to a loud burst of volume. For me, I've had it for about a year now.
