How did you come to realize it was Al Bhed to begin with, Arp

Because if you just knew it was Al Bhed, you'd refer to it that way. If you saw T-Force explain it in thread, you'd know I mentioned it to Xel in sign ups as a way to avoid the censors and could figure out I'm doing it as a gas. If you read it in sign ups, you'd know the previous sentence's worth of info

But you seem to think it was something deeper and I don't see how a town would read the thread, figure out how to translate it, but not realize the context on why I used it

I remember hearing something about al bhed, but I have no clue what it is. I just used frequency analysis and figured it out myself

frequency analysis is just looking at which letters appear the most. you can infer a handful of letters based on that alone, but it's trivial to figure out entire words based on context

good ol' notepad always does the trick



but yeah, I didn't realize kaho wasn't encoded. oops

I'd love to do a list like I've seen some people doing, but I have a hard time associating people, their comments and their name, yet. I kinda jumped to conclusions at the beginning because I was excited to find that I could figure out what you were saying and it just so happened to be about me, but I quickly realized it doesn't make sense for you to unironically do that as a wolf

Al Bhed is a fictional "language" from the video game Final Fantasy X (which is one of my favorite games of all time, the story was very impactful to me when I first played it)

If you know that, or had a wolfteammate in wolfchat who explained it to you, you would have just googled the many Al Bhed translators online to read it, and used one to see what qamhoy meant

I will believe you that you didn't get any outside knowledge of what the codes messages were, and apologize you went through all that work for essentially me shit posting with Xel

It gets easier the more you do, you just have to try it a few times. You can always just start at page 16(if on default 20 post per page) and read the EOD to now and then make a list of you're short on time. That's where most of the action takes place
