his messages are drastically different from what the rap genre is used to though

try listening to White Walls by Macklemore feat. Schoolboy Q, i don't think it's that awful

Kanye's definitely a great producer and his first album was decent at best, but everything after that went downhill quick.

Kanye is a god-tier producer, one of the best out there by far

Unfortunately from a vox standpoint, his head slowly pushed up into his ass over time

I like his ability to alt-pronounce words and find rhymes where a uniform pronunciation wouldn't allow them

this seems to be a very popular opinion on the internet, but I don't get it. I find his rapping skillz to be average and the production (done by Ryan Lewis right?) to be very nice

I prefer Kanye's subject matter and wordplay to those of most other popular rappers. I mean "popular" as in, like, top 10 in record sales. it's not a high standard, imo, but it's still a standard. also ridic producer
