BeatMania Training (help)
I've had beatmania and the dj thing for about a year, but never really played it. I was talking to Nym, and he said I should get good at it, the hard songs are fun. I can only play dificulty 4 songs right now. How do I get good. Don't say "practice practive practice" etc. I want answers like "This sing helps you with *insert pattern/speed/reading skils*" And so on. Or "play *song name* alot." I actually already enjoy playing songs in difficulty 4, so I should love playing diffictulty 9/10. Thanks.

Re: BeatMania Training (help)
Everyone learns different, so nobody can help you that well. You don't want someone saying "Practice, practice, practice" but that's what you have to do. Play the stages yourself, find the patterns you need work on, and do them.

Re: BeatMania Training (help)
If we're going to help you i think we might need to know what style your playing (eg 9th style, IIDX red, us)
But for a general tip learn to pinky scratch and don't assign a finger to a certain key. Instead keep your hands slightly raised off the controller then tap.

Re: BeatMania Training (help)
What they said. Pinky-scrach (which oddly I don't in IIDX. Also that I have bad timing... ^^; )... And well... Use both fingers of your two hands on the keys.
..... And don't say it's a wate of time. I have to work my butt off on Pop'n Music, a colorfull-japaniese IIDX-ish game, which also done by Bemani/Konami, but with 9 colorfull buttons about the size of your palm of your hand. (And variety of songs and *cough* characters to play with. Few are IIDX releaes.) (Thats why I sort of have a head start with IIDX.) And to me it's never a waste. Worth it for the songs you love. (RAINBOW RAINBOW!!!) Quote:
(Though I never played GitaDora, even though I like some songs there...)

But for sake of my.... Fangirl obsesion. (Ha. This game has characters and songs I love. Hence my avatar/sig of Minit's everywhere. And my name after a Pop'n Music character... Bishonen.) I probaly won't care if it hurts. (I herd a tip that you don't need to SLAM those buttons/Pop-Kuns. XP) And nyo. Opposite of you. I'm getting good at Pop'n (I just need work on NOT breaking those combos), but even though I worked out on Beatmania (US), I am still not good at IIDX. (Right now next to college is IIDX RED.)

Re: BeatMania Training (help)
I want to try Taiko too. XD (Other than the cute...)
(I like Space Fight and Lion Suki! XP Even bother showcade BGAs on my Profile...) Gah. We need a pure Bemani-game (or seperate like one for BMIIDX, Pop'n, etc.) discussion thread that isn't going to die. D: (Because I felt left out the only active Pop'n fan...) Oh yea. Are we all off-topic here?
