Default I got a Vista computer for Christmas...

And FFR lags like a f*cking b*tch. What do I need to get FFR to run smoothly?

Try Windows XP? Seriously, FFR like almost everything else runs bad or lags a lot when running on Vista. You might seriously want to go back to XP, buy another hard drive and dualboot it or partition yours to make a small XP to play FFR.

That suck's.
We have Vista on the family computer, which I never use simply because FFR runs horribly slow.

XP

O and, btw, with Vista, you lose 12% of fps. So FFR has 30fps, take off 12%, FFR now has 26.4% with Vista, good job,FFR is ruined.

IMO, get XP, even SM will run horribly. Eric got Vista, he quit ffr, he only plauys when he comes over.

lol wut

I have a Vista laptop and FFR runs perfectly. Stepmania lags a SMALL amount (enough for me to think the arrows are moving faster than they really are), but I've been told that this isn't Vista's fault...

Everything is Vistas fault. If your cat dies, it's also Vistas fault.

I don't understand why they put Vista on computers that won't be able to handle it. It's not Vista's fault...it's whoever decided Vista has to go on ****ing computer that gets shoved out there no matter how good or bad the comp is.

Or get:
Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 2000 Windows XP.

Or of course do what I instructed in my PM

Linux is free, comes with tons of free software whose counterparts would be prohibitively expensive on Windows, and is in general more secure than Windows. Then again, it is more complicated to use. It's a matter of general preference.
