yeah, whatever, Funcoland is gone but the well hasn't dried up. If you have any interest at all in playing these games you can find them. But it is quite obvious that you don't and you shouldn't worry about it. |

Re: 397 Nes Games (no download, legit)
The java thing is perfect for those who don't know how to operate emulators/dont wanna waste space on their computer. But still, getting the emulator & roms easily over-ranks this. I myself have an SNES emulator (ZSNESW) that has about 100 or so roms to play with. But of course, I don't wanna turn this into a "Talk about ROMS" thread, so basically, there's my point of interest right there.

Um...
This can't be legit. Super Mario Bros. Definitely is not public domain, and Nintendo definitely did not give permission to this site to host the game (especially since Nintendo is planning on milking NES games on the Wii).

Re: 397 Nes Games (no download, legit)
I only gave this because it's nes.
I have a snes emulator, that's how I've played (and completed) most of the snes RPG's. Hell, that's how I played Paper Mario (even though I own an N64, Paper Mario is hard to find for a reasonable price/condition). Nes is just...nes. It doesn't deserve roms/emulators and space. |

And Moogy makes an great point about Nintendo not making money so it doesn't matter anyway. However, Afro is right about it not being public domain and that they're gonna keep putting the same game out re-released for the newest gameboy or whatever or make it downloadable for a buck on the Wii. =\ But I agree with other people, too. I have every SNES game (found some torrent once and got them all at once. There are like, multiple versions of lots of them, and then other versions that are in all sorts of different languages. The folder containing them all is friggin 9.85 gigs. Almost 10 gigs of SNES games XD), but I'm not gonna waste further disk space getting every NES game. Lots of/Most good NES games have a ridiculously better SNES sequel anyway. Crystalis is one big exception, though. EVERYBODY GO PLAY CRYSTALIS FOR NES RIGHT NOW IT IS AMAZING ZOMG

So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright. And I write the blog for their website. Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O |
