'09 MLB World Series
Who do you think will win? I personally want the Red Sox to win, but I think the Dodgers are going to take it this year.

Who do you think will win? I don't think the Phillies will get past the NLCS.

Re: '09 MLB World Series
Phillies VS Yankees.
St.Louis won't get past this round against the Dodgers, they're down 2-0 and they've already used both of there top pitchers who are almost unhittable, the only thing they've got going for them is that they're going back to St.Louis for two games, but they'll have to beat LA in LA if they want to win that series. Colorado just doesn't have enough to get to the World Series in my opinion, they don't have enough pitching. So that brings the NL down to the Dodgers and Phillies and I feel that although the Dodgers are more clutch & are a real good team, I think the Phillies will get there. (Fun fact about the Dodgers - They didn't have a single regular player hit .300+, the most wins a single pitcher had on there team was 12, and they didn't have anyone score 100+ runs on there team, yet they still finished with the top NL record.) And the AL.. I honestly don't know my reasoning for choosing the Yankees, they just seem to have the best team overall right now, but I wouldn't be surprised to see the Red Sox or Angels there. They both have great teams. It'd definitely surprise me to see Minnesota in the World Series. |

Re: '09 MLB World Series
Colorado Rockies over the New York Yankees, i see the Rockies beating the Phillies in 5, the Yankees beating the Twins in 3.
Red Sox lose to the Angels in 4, and the Dodgers win in 3 at the Cardinals. Yankees beat the Angels in 5, the Rockies Beat the Dodgers in 6. Thats what i think, but who knows. |

Re: '09 MLB World Series
With the Yanks spending over $300 million during the off season for three players, I would laugh if this happened.

It's called being clutch. Next to the yankees, the Dodgers had second most ninth inning wins.

Off the top of my head, I can't quite remember, but I believe the Dodgers had 22 9th inning wins. (Not sure how many the Yankees had and I'm a Yankees fan ;p) |

Re: '09 MLB World Series
lol crazy. i just wrote an article about this like last week
ROUND 1: rockies vs. phillies. look guys the rockies most of the time rape the phillies whenever they play them. right now the series is tied one to one i think so i predict the rockes either winning in 6 or 5 games. the angels are deffinatly going to beat the read sox not even any questions asked. if you watch the them play you can tell who plays better, espicially if you know baseball as well as i do. the yankees will rape the twins 4-0. the dodgers and the st. luis game is the game to be watching thats going to go down to about the 7 game. if not then i think the cardenals will in 6 ROUND TWO: rockies vs. cardenals should be an easy one for the rockies, but it wont. even though the rockies rape the cardenals to whenever they play them. they wont i predict the cardenals beating the rockies in the NL finals in 7 games. the angels and the yankees wont be much to watch. the yankees will probably beat them in five or six games. WORLD SERIES: not much to say really i mean both teams have everything going for them player wise. (cardenals and yankees). so this is actually a toss up for me lol Quote:

Division Series is Best of 5 Games. Championship Series is Best of 7 Games. World Series is Best of 7 Games. |

Re: '09 MLB World Series
Could someone give me a reason on why they think Colorado is so good? They're probably the worst team in the playoffs.. besides Minnesota.
