Meh, I don't see much of a problem. It isn't hard to AAA all the easy songs and it would probably take less time than whoring the harder songs. Just AAA like, five to ten easy songs a day and you'll get through them all in no time.
![]() If it is argued that it doesn't determine anything...Well, it determines who is patient/determined enough to do that. Those are linked with skill, especially since they relate to concentration, imo. The list should include all songs in some form, since all songs play a role in "completing" this game and rising to the top. |

Abandon tier points system, and move on to % of possible points gained ranking. (Add up the max possible scores of each song and rank who has the highest % of that) Not going to happen probably, but that's what it should be.

Quesion: how in God's name did a difficulty 10 song end up yielding 5 points while a difficulty 9 song yields 6 points? The d10 song I speak of is {Rose}. I AAAed it today (first d10 AAA =D) and realized it was not worth the Tier Points. Uber Rave somehow yields 6. Not like I give a flying f--- about tier points anyway, but I was curious on the logic of this.

uber rave, color of the arrows / the av miss on the last few notes of the songs (makes its hard to aaa) / the intense offbeat (more like notes that dont go with the song) / aaand the stream that feels like random arrows flying out of no where
as for rose, stream / uhh more stream / some jumps / more stream / end i dunno, i kinda still think uber rave should be a 5 if tambourin is a 5, i finally get the fact on why tambourin is a 5 and midnight is a 6, people dont care about index, so its all based off spread. make a "plays FFR much has over 240 tier and will never get 360" or codename.."FFR Lover/appreciator" as the base before pro ![]() |

I only need 3 seconds :)

because everyone whores Rose for the Midnight token. If you want your 6 points, then AAA Midnight because technically you get 10 points for AAA'ing Midnight (4 for unlocking the song, and 6 for AAA'ing it)
Also look at this: Neon-213 is a 4-point Very Challenging. Did you not see that one? |

Yeah I know I saw it. Pretty easy for VC.

Yeah, I was wondering why that was even VC, but if it is given only 4 tierpoints for a AAA, then that confirms the fact that it should not be VC.

Oh, I'm sure there are other oddities in the Tier Point system, I was just pointing that one out. I look at that page about once a month so I don't notice a lot of stuff, just wondered the logic, I guess Uber Rave having blue arrows, being off, and being much easier than Rose makes it 6 points.

Duality is listed around as hard as seven, yet the 1 point challenge is to get 30 goods or less?

Jimerax originally had it as a 5 point AAA, but I didn't think it was that hard. I bumped it down to a 4. Its not equal to the difficulty of Seven
Update comes tomorrow right after I get home from school, unless I end up doing something |

hehe i have way more trouble with duality than Seven. mostly cuz I avmiss the end though, I'll have to try on a different kb. I really thought it would be a 5 when i first played.

ending 4-framers in Duality might be a bit hard, until then it's easy.
FC for 1 point is an ok idea, but I don't care much. |

this means that having an FC on molto versus a good top 20 non FC weights as much as AAA'ing a challenging versus getting 500 goods on a challenging song. theoretically it sounds good, but it weights FC's on the hardest songs too much, because of the combo-based scoring. in other words, you'd have to AAA dozens more songs than someone else who had a few goods on all of those songs, JUST to overcome one FC they had on a hard song where they had a (maybe) lucky run. (dono if that makes sense to people or if it just sounded like a big rant, sry)

Nah, makes sense. But the very few people who can FC and/or get a very high combo are generally better overall and deserve the recognition and would probably rank in the highest even without Guru songs. soulstone is one case. Not sure if he just chooses not to play for AAAs on easiers songs, but his amazing Guru scores deserve him placement above many people with way more AAA's. Still, you make a good point. I guess FFR's combo based scoring is not suitable for my proposed method. Tier system is too inconsistent for me, but I guess it's the best thing atm.

i say the best systems are (in order): 1. tier points system reformed with less songs 2. current tier point system 3. your proposition 4. average rank 5. overall rank
