Your obliques and your abs are ridiculous. I have kind of the opposite problem. I have bat wing lats but almost no obliques. This gives me a ridiculous chest to waist ratio (like 44 to 29 right now) but it makes my abs look really weak IMO so I've added some weighted oblique exercises to this bulk, plus some weighted ab stuff and of course I started deadlifting a few months ago which I hope will help.

Re: The Fitness Thread
I've been hammering my back, I just got blessed with high lats so until I grow em out more theyre gonna get overshadowed
They look alright in a lat spread, but goddamn. My waist is down to a 28 (coach measured it) but my hips are so wide that its sort of moot, haha |

Re: The Fitness Thread
Not insisting your back workout is the cause of your under-developed lats, but would you mind sharing your back workout? I'm curious.

Anyways, thinking about it, and forgive me if you've figured this out already, I didn't think many whey-based protein powders have lactose? This could be purely a semantics issue, but lactose is strictly the sugar in dairy. Whey and casein are proteins in dairy, and it sounds like you're dairy intolerant and not just lactose intolerant. If you're only lactose intolerant, lactose-free milk shouldn't bother you, or taking a lactaid before eating any dairy should alleviate your symptoms. If the almond milk bothers you, but regular almonds don't, it could be the carrageenan that you have an issue with. I know some people think that stuff's pure poison, but I suspect most of those people probably genuinely have their own digestion issues from it. It might be hard for you to find a milk replacement that doesn't have carrageenan to test. |

About the lactaid, I'd rather just avoid dairy. It's not difficult to avoid dairy. In the end, I had a stomach flu. It was impossible for me to tell after being sick for a year. I just assumed it was dietary. I'm alright now.
