Re: Solar Eclipse Pad Pack
That would be much abliged, Zero. I'll send the quad happy version so you can decide where to throw in the actual notes, and if you do it we can call it a collab if you like. That is enough of an edit to be considered a collab :P.

Re: Solar Eclipse Pad Pack
I don't even use double steps really, (Well now I don't hahaha) and I can be considered an elitist pad file author if I actually made files to anyone's likes besides my own.
your opinons all mean nothing to me <3 but judge faster |

Re: Solar Eclipse Pad Pack
(Raine) Fire Fire
Rather repetitive. Didn't like your jump placements at all and the way you layered the song during parts where the melody you're following isn't dominant at all and quiet which seems like you're virtually ghost stepping. Rejected. (SulferDragon) Industrialism (Area E) Not sure if your double-steps were purposely done or not but either way, I didn't enjoy them at all. There's really nothing to accent in the song that requires the use of double-steps. Kinda generic and bland overall so I'm going to have to Reject. (Midnight Mist) Jumpgroove Layering is good considering it's a Hard/Heavy chart but the countless double-steps aren't acceptable. Should've also stepped an Expert/Oni chart since there are parts of the song that you did not layer. Rejected. (Raine) Lose Control Somewhat unique and not bad at all though also kinda generic and bland. There was nothing note worthy in this that would make me play this file more than once. Rejected. (Midnight Mist) Love is War You stepped Vocaloid for pad. I give you some instant respect points. Layering is decent but there's a lot of inconsistencies in terms of pattern usage and there are countless double-steps. Rejected. (FoxX) Owl Castle Inconsistent with layering and there are problems with how your patterns flow. Spotted some double-steps and noticed that were was a lack of pitch relevancy. Rejected. (FoxX) The Bridge People No Longer Cross The jump placements and usage are inconsistent throughout and there was way too much walking patterns ([1][2][3][4]) which bugged me. Rejected. (Buizel) The Strong Jaeger - BPM Gimmicks in the beginning measures are a nice touch - Measures 19-23 kinda irked me that you didn't use stops. - Later on in the file, there seemed to be missing BPM Gimmicks that you left out. Kinda makes it inconsistent seeing as though the entire beginning's BPM Gimmicks weren't necessarily needed but the ending had several opportunities that you avoided. Accepted. (~Zero~) Daite Senorita V2 Much more enjoyable. Double-steps were pretty fun. Accepted. ok I finally did reviews. back to judging for Xoon 4, peace

Re: Solar Eclipse Pad Pack
Already got shot down by Love Is War, MIGHT consider re-doing it after completely redoing it. Might... just might. And I figured the same with Jumpgroove, two failures, not a good start.

Re: Solar Eclipse Pad Pack
The average step artist has anywhere between 5-20 files rejected before they get one into a pack (or in Raine's case, 100)

Re: Solar Eclipse Pad Pack
Wow, really :P. That's okay for me than. Except NOW , I'm working EXTRA hard on this song because I do not want to make another song for this pack outta spite. Heh, thanks for the words of wisdom, expect my song 'Hard Style, My Style' to be sent withing a couple days.

Re: Solar Eclipse Pad Pack
Unfortunatly, the productions are really halting. Do you have a set limit of simfiles you would like to have in the pack, cause you have like 16 or so files.

Re: Solar Eclipse Pad Pack
Most likely aiming for between 25-30 files but that will probably change.
But in the meanwhile, there are still some files that have missing graphics so if you want to, you can help out with them. I'm preoccupied with judging and making graphics sets for Xoon 4 so I'm not doing much for this pack ATM other than occasional judging ~__~

Re: Solar Eclipse Pad Pack
I'll MAYBE make some more, but as I say. Most songs that were sent have no easily definable mood to it. Mainly the case is in Gundam-Dude's Colors Of Sorrow, where 'depressing' is at the beginning and happy at the end. There is no EASILY definable mood to be found. Unless someone could pull the exact mood out of a hat for me, most background might clash with the music. As is the case for my PHAILED attempt at Colors Of Sorrow. (Colours in Canada ^_^) that clashed with the song. I might review the songs but I find moods are hard to pick out in those kind of songs. Sometimes puns on the name might be necessary. Which is what I did with Monty On The Run. But, I do not want to do something stupid with Far East Speedcore.
(Basic STEPS for 'Hard Style, My Style' are done. Now to make them non-double steps. That is going to be hard.. :P. Because I am lazy, I am only sending in heavy. MAYBE challenge but I don't know.) |

Re: Solar Eclipse Pad Pack
It doesn't have to JUST be about the mood of the song. If there is no set mood, just go off of the song title. Or, for example, for Sogo Kigyo Shugotai Tenpa (which for the love of god is called Conglomerate Alliance TENPA), it's from a game, thus just base the graphics off of the game

Re: Solar Eclipse Pad Pack
Hmmm, makes sense. Oh and because I am completely new, I have a small delema. I have a nice, moderate songs that averages at a small 90.12 BPM. But when I add in the notes, there all 16th (Yellow, Blue, And Red), that are bunched together. But if I double the BPM (now at 190.24), the song would run to fast (I think) for people to play. What should I do?
