Re: Twilight.
can you say stalker?
read pieces of the book and sparknotes and wasn't impressed in the slightest. the movie blew buttchunks of cheese but it was still entertaining being there with my anti-twilight sister and hyper (at the time) gf. Did anyone notice when the vamp chick walks down the stairs at the end it's somewhat reminiscent of the 'floating-like' walking in Pirates 3 when the English ship gets owned? perfection. like edward's glistening skin. hahahahah!

Re: Twilight.
I really liked the movie.
I've been watching clips on Youtube for a while now. I read the book first, and when I saw the casting list I wasn't impressed. I mean, CEDRIC DIGGORY? Sure I'm not a Bella and Edward shipper, but ew. But he kind of grew on me. I watched a few movies of Kristen's after I found out she was going to play Bella. I wanted to see if she was a decent actress. She's not that bad. There are so many good looking guys in this film! Baaaah. I'll admit that Edward is yummy. Mike, James and even Carlisle to an extent are cute. Victoria and Bella are pretty. I'll probably get flamed to death because of this post but I could care less. I'm anxiously waiting New Moon. GO BELLA AND JACOB. <3

Re: Twilight.
Everything was so overdone and poorly acted overall. It was like a soap-opera movie +vampires and little not-so-blatant clues to further details.
I think I died laughing when she walks in and sees Edwards in the bio classroom and they practically orgasm at the sight of eachother xD EDIT: Plus the fan thing just for that extra push... oh god

Re: Twilight.
I watched the movies yesterday with my girl-friend. She and I couldn't stop laughing from the first scene where Bambi showed up 'till the point where he says "HOLD ON SPIDER MONKEY"
It was a great movie for laughs (at the acting).

Re: Twilight.
Aye. Alice was quite hot in the movie.
Pretty much the only redeeming quality it had. I hadn't read the books before hand, just because I saw the fangirlism surrounding them and I was like "lolno." But after seeing the train wreck of a movie, I'm tempted to read at least the first one just to see how badly they screwed up.

Re: Twilight.
I`ve read and seen the movie and to be honest, the movie wasn`t all that great. Like any book that get turned into a movie, it ends up like crap. Parts missing out, dosen`t make much sense or not interesting for those who haven`t read the book, etc.

Re: Twilight.
i'd say it does the book justice
i mean they're both produced equally badly

Re: Twilight.
this is just like the rest of the new generation hollywood films. technically awesome, but lacking on creativity and depth. i haven't read the book, and it's probably better as it would have been even more delusional, but for the most part, and especially towards the end, the film gets :ver mainstream: the dialogues were pretty obvious, i've watched it with a friend of mine and we enjoyed our time guessing what the next line would have been. we were almost always correct. the charachters seem to fit quite a bit, but the feel isn't right. they fall in the same cinematographic stereotyipes each time. overall decent 6/10

How can something be awesome due to a technicality?

Re: Twilight.
i mean it's visually awesome. the scenery is very fitting, the closeups are done properly. everything's done perfectly from the visual point of view. but the story is just a soap opera, full of tennager **** like goin surfin and baseball and graduation's day ballet. this bs doesn't belong in a story like this.

Re: Twilight.
what necros said. mainstream teenage bull**** emo drama stories sell quite a bit these days. I saw it with 6 of my friends, all girls, and we all thought the same. The book was a lot better but her writing style is the same as tolkien, meaning she just goes ooooon and ooooooon about descriptions. I don't feel like reading 4 pages about how the forest is beautiful.

Re: Twilight.
I'll just leave this here.
Statistics of Twilight: Number of Pages in the Book: 498 The First Hint of a Plot that Is Not Bella and Edward's Romance: page 328 When the Plot Actually Arrives: page 372 Boys that Totally Love Bella (Including Edward Cullen): 5 Approximate Amount of Time Bella and Edward are Romantically Involved Before Bella Is Begging Edward to Turn Her into a Vampire so They Can Be Together Forever: Like, two weeks. Maybe three. The timeline's a bit fuzzy. I didn't count references to it as "pale," "cold," or "white." If I had, this number would be about ten times larger.) * Iron Strength or Limbs: 5 * Breath: 4 (EVEN HIS BREATH IS AMAZING.) * Scent: 4 * Laughter: 3 * Handwriting: 2 * Chest: 2 * Driving * Bella Is Clumsy or Makes a Reference to Her Clumsiness: 26 * Bella Sneers at Forks or Its Inhabitants: 22 * Bella is "Dazzled" or Rendered Speechless by Edward's Beauty or Touch: 17 * Edward Tells Bella to Stay Away from Him While Completely Contradicting Himself with His Behavior: 16 * Bella is Utterly Desolate at Edward's Absence: 12 * Edward and Bella Kiss: 8 o Bella's Hormones Get the Better of Her and She Attacks Edward, Almost Causing Him to Eat Her: 2 (She's not even allowed to kiss him back! Where's the fun in that?) o Edward's Kiss Makes Bella Faint: 1 o Edward's Kiss Makes Bella's Heart Literally Stop: 1 * Bella Thinks She Isn't Good Enough for Edward: 6 * Edward Is Referred to As Godlike: 5 (Note: This number might be off, as I didn't start counting until three or four mentions in.) * Edward Tells Bella She's Unnatural: 5 * Edward Sparkles: 3 * Bella is in Mortal Danger: 3 o Edward Saves Bella from Mortal Danger: 3 * Edward Stalks Bella, For Real: 2 (Note: One of these instances involves watching her sleep every night for, like, months.) * Bella says "Holy Crow!": 2 * Bella and Edward Argue About Who Loves the Other Most: 1 * Edward's Inability to Read Bella's Mind is Explained: 0 |
