Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
If from 0:00 to the part you put the first note < 2 secs, you should put silence on the mp3 (otherwise first a few notes will be cut).
or don't put notes on 0:00 - 0:02 part. Last edited by jimerax; 11-10-2010 at 09:17 PM.. |

also After we get the list of accepted files, I will compile them and add silence to anything needing it. This is mostly because I never remember to add the silence myself B) |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
To be specific, 2 seconds of silence is generous, and the arrows should start playing after the "START!" text scrolls away. You can add, say, 1.5 seconds and the whole file will still play, except the arrows will begin before the "START!" text fully disappears.
Also note that Audacity seems to add a small fraction of silence as well; if you saved a song in Audacity with no changes, you'll notice that it will leave an approx. 0.020 sec addition of gap as you try to sync the song in the editor. And of course, don't add silence if no arrows fall within the first 2 seconds. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
I'm well aware of having to adjust offset after adding silence lol. I did used to be a pad chancellor afterall and 2 seconds of no notes was a heavy requirement

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
2 seconds of no notes was too much for you for pad charts? Most pad charts (like the officials/ITG: Rebirth, etc.) have like 5-8 seconds of no steps in the intro.

@Rebirth + NSane: quick reminder.

And as stated, after the deadline, some other judge (may be a backup judge or an existing judge) should fill in the gaps. After that, decisions on song acceptances will be made. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
If they don't respond/can't finish judment until Nov 20, we need to add 2 more (backup) judges.
In that case, we have to change the submission e-mail address too. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
I think Rebound and dore are suitable candidates. psychoangel is another one. I don't know too much about most of the others in regards to their way of reviewing things.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
stargroup and moches are too busy with school to judge most likely. Maybe torrent would want to judge?
