Chromer, don't overlook Teleport. You get 1 free point to put into any skill you like, and meanwhile you have to wait ten levels while you max your main attack to get other things. When it comes to F/P, there's two options:

a) MP Eater. Saves you money on potions and helps remedy the slight inconvenience of pressing a HotKey to recover MP.

b) Teleport. Allows you extra movement speed, extra mobility (as in you can get to that platform ten feet above you with one keystroke instead of five jumps), getaway potential, and extra dodge for monsters.

If you're like me and don't feel a problem with dishing out cash for potions, I'd take Teleport.

If you're using lvl 1 Teleport enough to justify having it, you're using it too much. Level 1 Tele should only be used in emergency situations like you're about to miss the boat to ossy, or if you're about to die and you need to get away from a monster.

The only GOOD option for the one point at lvl 30 is MP eater. Unless you're a cleric, then you can get heal.

I thought I was the only one with black characters. But mine are themed, so it works. Seriously, YingYangTwin and SnoopDawg? They HAVE to be black. I'm thinking about deleting my thief and making an archer named MikeJones, but I dunno, it's prolly taken.

Also: If you've never used teleport, you won't miss having it. You've done fine up until now without tele. Honestly, after I got tele I used it way too much for a while. When I'd switch to my warrior I kept trying to tele all over the place because I was in the habit of doing it. Trust me, it's a bad, MP-wasting habit. Now I only use it when I have near full MP or when I'm just trying to hurry to get somewhere where I'm gonna sit and regain MP anyway (ie: the boat). But like, eric LOST money there for a while because of teleporting so much. I gain money like mad because I pretty much never use MP pots due to less tele and more MP eater. Seriously, MP eater is so ownage, I can't wait to finish maxing med so I can get more.

EDIT:

I just remembered my sexcellent reasoning that convinced me that tele was stupid. I like to think of things in terms of MP used. Tele is mainly useful for avoiding damage, right? Well let's think about this for a second. If you have magic guard on and get hit for 50 damage, that uses up 40 MP. If you use 60 MP to teleport away from that, you're being wasteful. Now, how often while training do you get hit for even 50 damage? Seriously, for tele to be worth it versus magic guard, you'd have to be hit for at least 75 damge. If you're getting hit for 75 consistently enough that you need tele to save MP, something is wrong.

I take 75 damage from things I train on. YAY PURE INT. Of course, I'm smart enough to just flat out not get hit by physical things :/ I have one point in tele, but I only use it for fun purposes, getting to the boat, etc.

Here is how I did things:
Level 1-7: OMGWTFBBQ.
Level 8: 1 in Bolt.
Level 9: 3 in MP Regen.
Level 10: 2 in MP Regen, 1 in Max MP Increase.
Level 11-13: Maxed Max MP Increase.
Level 14-20: Maxed Claw, 1 in MP Regen.
Level 21-24: Maxed MP Regen, 2 in Magic Guard.
Level 25-30: Maxed Magic Guard.
ASDF!!
Level 30-40: Maxed Fire Arrow.
Level 41: 1 in Teleport, 2 in MP Eater.
---
I should have put 1 in MP Eater at level 30, then maxed Fire Arrow from level 31-41. Then put 2 in MP Eater for the remaining points at level 41.

OMGWTFPLAN
Max MP Eater, then Teleport, then Slow. What is left will go in Poison.

Anyways, I'm 31% away from Level 29 after doing 8 PQs in a row tonight. Can't wait to taste the sweet air of Ossy once I get to Level 30.

I just solo'd my first Mushmom.

I used 65 Mana Elixers, a bunch of MP pots, and like 20 white HP pots (if I was getting hurt by MM I couldn't use heal at the same time, so I had to pot). Totally not worth it. Still fun though.

Slime king is easy as hell cause all you need to do is jump when he's ready to make an earthquake. MushMom hits you HARD as hell even if you bump into her.

Ha! I found myself running into MM just so her earthquake attack wouldn't nearly kill me. I had Invincible, Bless, and Magic Guard all on and I could only withstand 1 earthquake hit from MM without risking dying.

In all honesty though, I found that if I kept the right distance from her, I could jump, then claw, then jump, then claw, and she would just jump in place. Same tactic that would be used against King Slime. Eventually, she would move toward me though.

God darnit, I'm now 11% away from Level 29. I would have got to Level 29, had my connection died right as I was getting into the PQ with Vash. :\

Well good luck with the advancement Chromer. Argh... Maxing mastery is so boring..... Stupid minimum damage is really pathetic for archers. Well, I went training with noobs at pig beach for a while because I got bored and I got a lot of fame because I spammed arrow bomb. Noobs are so easily amused...

107 pages long... I think it's well-deserved.

40% here. Still struggling along to 79. With company who comes over for Thanksgiving every year, I'm losing Maple time in the cleaning of my room. And no, it's not like some rooms where the mess is all on the floor. In all outward appearances, my room was always clean. But I'm a packrat. I filled BOXES with pens and pencils just thrown in various drawers over the years.

Only reason I even bothered is because I just got a new rug and I <3 it.
