To be honest I hate all of my stuff. There is too much of a time difference between the creation of the simfiles and as such, my way of making the files changed over time. Ernst was crap; Zenius and Be Quiet were decent (also most recent). I really should have saved C'mon! Swing All-stars for this pack.

The pack is not bad, it's something to pass the time with. I hope for many of the authors out there that they take this as a springboard towards ap's pack (if they plan to do something for it) in terms of learning from any comments made about it rather than argue opinions about the simfiles that will probably never change.

I've just finished playing every file in the pack. All and all, I'd say it turned out well.

Top 3:

We Met Dat Night- I love Vospi's files.

Istanbul Cafe- This file is gold.

TLS333S- There's some stuff in the first third of the file that I would've thought Lurk would do differently... meh. Still, incredible file- what I've come to expect from him.

Most of the rest weren't bad. Some were boring, and some were crap, but on the whole (even most of the 'generic' files) I found it to be fun. Again, good job guys. I'm happy with it

Haha that's weird, BlueMystic, you, and others have said that Be Quiet was their favorite. I guess you want stuff with rhythms that constantly change throughout the song. I'll take note of this then since I find Be Quiet to be fun as well.

Well, I like RaiRai's stuff in this one. Still haven't found time to play yet...finals are kicking in as of late.

Excactly. big stream files filled with jumps on other notes in the music suck, and are not creative at all, or fun or good for that matter. It doesn't have to have crazy 24th and 64th and 128th notes or whatever the **** AP's new sims use. 16th patterns just need to vary more. Jumps on every note possible are not neccessary unless you want maybe a hard file, which every file does not need to be like that.

Honestly the pack could've been better, but it still definitely achieved its purpose of being superior to F4/F5/SS/whatever, all the other packs out there that are constantly being played.

While most of the sims in it are indeed generic, we did not make originality a criteria for admission, unlike AP has done. There are two reasons for this:

The first and foremost being that people were having enough trouble just being able to **** out something of decent quality (you don't want to see most of the submissions :/) and if we actually started refusing sims due to them being generic the releasedate would've been delayed by <insert number of years>.

...I forgot the second reason. Whatever, the above reason should be enough for you. Not to mention, originality has never been an issue before. F4 and 5's popularity SOARED because hey it's got 5 good sims in them, and most new and popular sims are very generic but people still gobble them down like sperm.

Actually, I highly doubt this many would've complained (there are a few exceptions, of course) if ballin had never mentioned anything about the sims being generic. I was laughing about that yesterday, and he actually noticed it too XD
