I played DDR for the first time ever today

Me and my friend want to go to arcades and play Tsuguro in Samurai outfits and fake swords (Or real ones cus a shop at that mall sells them.).

Holy **** some of the difficulties are horridly wrong

I played Sakura Oni and got an A, that's listed as a 9

Then I played V (for extreme) Heavy and failed badly, that's listed as an 8...wtf

Then I played Max 300 Standard and got an A somehow (I actually FC'd one of the stream bursts) and I was happy.

Then I played Legend of Max Heavy and almost made it to the halfway point XD

Yes, Sakura's difficulty chart is all wrong. I consider heavy to be a 9 and oni an 8

Good job, but it's just that even if you full combo any song they would still give you an A unless you did a relly good FC (like 20 greats and 300 perfects)

Trust me, I know this...today I got some FC on something that wound up as an A, and I've done it tons of times before.

Games of DDR played: maybe 200ish

Games of SM played: probably around 3000 or 4000

Games of FFR played: over 17000

At least you are playing harder songs. When I started playing I stayed on light for like 5 months then moved to heavy so you are doing a good job.

Today I tried passing 10-footers on Final Stage, and failed every time. Slowdowns in Sakura kill me, this one really gay part in LoM with triplets then jumps is insta-fail for me, and Max 300 I just don't have the stamina/reading skill to beat yet (it's funny how I've actually FC'd the first 120 or so arrows in Max 300 and then failed randomly because I just completely mess up...I ALMOST made it do the middle with the big freeze, failed like right before it). Didn't try MaxX Unlimited because I've played it on SM and know it's WAY too hard for me on foot, or Bag because it seems like it would be gay, or Paranoia because I've heard it's too hard.

Also got 63-0-1-0 on Max 300 Standard and an A on LoM Standard...nothing else of note besides that I'm basically ignoring PA and going for speed.

EDIT: Two AWESOME passes for me. Rhythm and Police (B) and FINALLY, Sakura Heavy (C), which I only passed because I accidentally put it on 1.5x and therefore could do the slowdown (but almost died on other parts because I can't really read that fast).

Got to the break in Max 300 Heavy
FC'd Matsuri Japan (first 9 foot FC)
AA'd LoM Standard (first 9 foot AA)

I'm definitely getting better...the only patterns I can't do are 486 crossovers and spins (I don't have any idea how I'll ever learn spins)

Just memorize the bpm slowdowns on SM and you'll never lose again. It's how I passed Sakura Heavy now with ALMOST a AA. Just hard for me to FC the final slowdown at the end. Max 300 I could beat anytime now with at least a B, because I know how the stepchart is already, just need stamina to do better.

DAMN you are getting good fast. I am guessing you are doing PSM on Heavy but it really is no different to PS. PSM on Heavy is PS backwards.

Yesterday I had a pretty nice accomplishment, AA'd three songs consecutively, all 8 footers (Sync, Cow Girl, and Crash), which was really nice. Failed the extra because I just can't read reverse at all XD

Today I AA'd Rhythm and Police finally, woohoo.

Question...are there any songs between the difficulty level of, say, Sakura and PSM 270? I can't find any, besides horrendous stupid crap that requires either spins (break down) or jumpstream (stoic and dxy lmfao gay) I'm really looking for non-crossover 8th stream at like between 200 and 270...is there any at all in this game? My problem is that I just can't pass PSM 270 because the retarded crossover 8ths section kills me, or any of the MAX songs because they're just too fast...but I can A Sakura and Bag and pretty much any 9 footer that doesn't have gay as **** patterns...and I know stepping up my speed gradually is the best way to get better.

Oh and Brian, yes I will be a CMod whore forever, yes I will be a bar-raper forever. I have seen no good reason anywhere not to use both of those things whenever possible.
