alright, i need some help. I'm stuck at the first city after you get off the ship, because either way I go I can't make it far enough to get to the next city.. I'm 50% towards being level 11, and I'm not strong enough to make it yet. I wanna go get my job

Alright, I took the taxi and got the warrior job up in Perion. Now, it seems like there is no where to fight for me around my skill level, any suggestions of places to go to fight and gain XP? Also, how do you get SP to upgrade like my basic of warriors things?

Either go back to Lith, or go near Ellinia, and fight stumps (light, no axes) and green slimes.

You'll get 3 SP every time you level, so you have to keep fighting to get more skills.

Well I mean it looks like a Cleric becomes a Solo job afetr 3rd job so should I sacrifice helping people now and getting beastly later on be solo now and forever more? (Cried the Raven) ROFL

Cleric is still somewhat of a party class at 3rd job, especially becuase of Holy Symbol. It seems that you like soloing more than parties, so I would go Fire Wizard right now. Its a long way to 70, and you will probably quit if it gets too boring.

Cleric does NOT become a solo job after 3rd job.
Holy symbol at max gives you 110% exp boost while soloing, 150% exp boost while partying.

If you don't like partying much, or look at partying as a sacrifice, do NOT go Cleric.

Besides, I'll be having all the cleric buffs needed. I don't know if more than one cleric is really needed in a given group. However, you can't really go wrong with a firemage power house.

You use a scroll titled "Scroll for Axe for ATT" on it. The percentage shows the chance it'll work, and on the scroll it'll also say what you get if it works. There are three percent scrolls: 100, 60, and 10. The higher the chance it'll work, the lower the stats will be increased.

OMFG 2 More levels to 2nd Job. I'm still debating. Should I do a Cleric or a Fire Wiz? Clerics look like they get more powerful after 3rd job with Shining Ray and such.

Now I know you've already said you'll go with fire wizard, but let me just show you something. I'm assuming you saw that cleric in that video using shining ray and thought it was really powerful, right? Well check this out:


Explosion

Description: Make an explosion around the character. Attack the enemy with the fire power.
Level 1: MP -21; Basic attack 60, mastery 15%, attack range 110%
Level 15: MP -35; Basic attack 94, mastery 35%, attack range 150%
Level 30: MP -50; Basic attack 120, mastery 60%, attack range 200%

Shining Ray
Description: Attacks multiple enemies at once with the ray of holy light. Applies massive damage to the undead monsters.
Level 1: MP -21; Basic attack 60, mastery 15%
Level 15: MP -35; Basic attack 88, mastery 35%
Level 30: MP -50; Basic attack 105, mastery 60%


Fire mage's explosion = better. Also, explosion isn't even the best thing. Cleric only gets that one attack skill (unless you count dragon, and that's sorta crappy). Fire mages get several, including:

Magic Composition
Description: Uses fire & poison-based spell on a single enemy. Applies massive damage to monsters that are weak against fire or poison, and the enemy will be poisoned on a set success rate.
Level 1: MP -14; Basic attack 80, mastery 15%, 41% success rate to put enemy into the state of poison for 4 seconds
Level 15: MP -18; Basic attack 124, mastery 35%, 55% success rate to put enemy into the state of poison for 20 seconds
Level 30: MP -22; Basic attack 150, mastery 60%, 70% success rate to put enemy into the state of poison for 40 seconds

"But that has the same basic attack as the dragon!!" you might say. But you're forgetting, it also poisons enemies!! So not only do you do massive damage right away, but you continue to hurt them for up to 40 seconds!

Also, priests don't get element amplification (permanent magic attack +135%) or magic booster (+2 casting speed for 200 seconds). So if you got 2 people at the same really hgih level, a cleric and a fire mage, and they were both using bolt/claw/anythingtheybothhave, the fire mage would do more damage and attack much faster, even if both of them had the exact same stats and equipment. If you like going solo (and you obviously do), definitely go with fire mage.


And emccky, don't upgrade it. Scrolls are quite expensive, since they are rare drops (and a few from quests) but everybody wants them. Even the few 100% scrolls you can buy at the store are pretty ridiculously expensive for you level. The only class that really ought to scroll anything would be mages with earrings, and even then it's entirely optional.

Plus, you'll be leveling so fast at these levels that you would spend hundreds of thousands to upgrade a weapon only to buy a new one in 5 levels for tens of thousands. And if you happen to find a scroll, either ask us how much it's worth and sell it, or save it and use it when you're much higher leveled. It really doesn't make sense to upgrade things until you're in your 40s, at least.

Well, this is what I did with my F/P mage. I first added a point into MP Eater. When I leveled, I put 2 points into teleport and then started maxing Fire Arrow. Becuase I sorta gave up on my fire mage, it was like half-way maxed for me. I put two points into teleport just to reduce the MP cost so I could have more fun with it. BTW, level 32 with my archer.

EB, i currently have these scrolls:

Scroll for one handed BW for ATT
60% rate, attack +2, str + 1

Scroll for overall armor for DEX
10% rate, dex +5, accuracy +3, speed +1

Oh yeah, about that. If you ask me (and anybody who isn't an idiot), teleport is a complete waste until your main attack is maxed!!! 1) You don't NEED it for anything, 2) If you put more than 1 point on it early, you're making yourself have less power early on when you want it for leveling, 3) If you only put 1 point on, it uses 60 MP per cast, which is a whole hell of a lot.

I say you put your first point on MP Eater because, although it may not absorb much very often, it will save you lots of money over time. After that, put 3 points on fire arrow every level until maxed (You may save SP if you want. I didn't because I have plenty of money and pots and I wanted powerrrrrrrr). Also, you probably won't even use fire arrow much until it's about level 15 anyway. At 15 it has 75 attack, compared to claw's twin 40s. At 15, it's only better than claw when fighting fire-weak monsters and monsters with really high magic defense (like gollems, which you really shouldn't be fighting in your 30s anyway).
