Or should I get off of my lazy butt, and start playing MS again for effing once. I hear that the anniversary event is coming up soon.

Odin isn't bad.

If you have any respect for the game, you won't try LocalMS. After playing that, I can't even consider playing 8x exp.

The game feels slow and grindy at 1,000x EXP. It doesn't bode well for 8x.

I think the LocalMS guys disabled registration, though, so Odin might be the only option now.

JS is dying, Gokumu is still in development, doesn't look like Odin's going to release source now after what Paul did...

My cleric in Local hit 120.

Then the server crashed.

I still don't have a better wand than a Mithril (level 28). I'm still wearing a Wizard Robe (also 28).

Though I have the 90 shoes, 80 gloves, and 60 hat!

Edit : By the way, they got all the maps working now, so even Leafre is out. Still no 3rd or 4th jobs though.

Edit 2: Started an archer. Less than an hour later he's ready for third job. Sick. Also archers are awesome <3

It's not worth making any class that doesn't have a 2nd job AOE in this server. Bandits and Assassins suck. Stars are rare as hell and Bandits are good single-target DOTers, which isn't worth **** in a server like this.

So, I started playing Odin MS and ideally, I'd like a cleric, bandit, and a xbowman, not necessarily in that order though. I'm planning to make my cleric when ludi releases because frankly, I don't want to train on the same mobs all the way to 70 like I did in gMS. So I decided to start out with a bandit because I know they train on a different mob set. Leveling him was a pain until about level 37, when I switched to evil eyes, and then whoosh, I was leveling once every 20-30 minutes.

Local is fun.

Got my archer up to 120. Deleted my archer.

Deleted my Cleric. Re-made it pure int. It's 130 now. Has about 3,500 more MP than my other Cleric. I'm glad I remade it.

Made a Spearman. He's 135 now. Busy collecting gear. I have a Fairfrozen, the level 80 gloves and boots, the level 70 top and bottom, and the mark of the beta hat... really got to find the hat now. But Wolf Spiders are so much fun! 1,200,000 exp per kill?! I don't even have to try!

Oh yeah and they drop Ilbis. In Local, those are worth two billion. I have a set, but I'd rather they go to the Assassin I will be making when I tire of the spearman. I don't know why people bother selling or scrolling things anyway. It really just doesn't matter. The max meso count is just over two billion, and getting that much is easy if you care to pick up meso. Some monsters drop multiple million per kill, and you can mob dozens of them all at once. Wolf Spiders, again, are a great example of this. I just drop things for other people if they ask and I happen to have it.

Rofl...I tried scrolling arunds today, buying every bow 30 in fm...and I lost 100 mil...
Since I was so pissed, I was like wth I'll use a 70% acc on my zhelm, which conveniently went boom as well (on the first slot).

Spearman is almost 160 now. In the top 100 for warriors, in the top 300 overall.

He's gotten five ilbis now, so I saw fit to make an assassin... which is now 100. And dexless! Took me less than an hour to get him to 100, and this was while farming Kandayos, Steelies, and Tobis. I have 10 Kandayos now. The best I got was 25 attack, 22 avoid. Waiting on scrolls.

Speaking of scrolling my first Zedbug turned out badly. 3 70%s worked. Each 70% costs 400,000,000 or more. So yeah, it's costly.

Anyone happen to know what drops the level 110 spear / polearm? I think I caught a glimpse of someone holding a Chelbird, but I'm not sure. Also, it's not on MapleTip or Hidden-Street.

When single monsters can drop 1m+, 400m is nothing. In that version, 400m would be like having like 400k.

I believe it's been like that for a while. OdinMS can still be joined though as far as I know. Just requires a 3 day waiting period or something.

Exactly why it sucks. They take away the entire point of the game by making it breeze by so quickly.

Odin is only 8x.

Also, the reason people's damage sucks compared to yours is twofold.

1) We don't have third job yet.

2) Nobody spends time killing low-level things for too long, so the abundance of scrolls is incredibly low. For example, I have about ten above average Maple Kandayos for my assassin. Already messed up the first slot in two of them with 10%s that I just happened to find. So basically, we don't care about trying to get a +7 weapon or +5/7/10 armor. Hell, I'm still using the mark of the beta hat because the other warrior hats are just way too hard to get and damage just doesn't matter when you level so often. Also, very few people are even using gloves with +attack.

By the way, even with 1000x exp, my spearman is taking about 10-20 minutes to level now at wolf spiders. And that's with a scrolled weapon (even though it's only +3). It's not like it's a walk in the park. Once you pass 120, it gets really, really hard leveling only with 2nd job skills because the game assumes you've moved past 2nd job by then.

I don't know what other speardudes can do at level 153, but I'm almost at 16,000 damage with +60 attack against wolf spiders. I'm sure with Sacrifice or Crusher/Buster I could do 30,000 or so.

Also pure luk assassins are pretty strong with +60 attack potions mirite

Just hit up level 50 and I suddenly got bored of my bandit. I've leveled about 13 levels here and I think I'll have to stay here for another 5-10. Oh the grind!
