I think its just my keyboard. sometimes it gives me bs misses if i press too softly/hard, has to be just right. I can miss on frozen bond lol (serious)

Holy hell I'm confused out of my freaking mind... So I just started playing Solo for the day, and played Lune Noir on heavy at 1.0 song rate. Got an A (and my highest was an A), and about a 2:1 ratio of MA.

So I thought about the advice I was given about MA: Don't worry about MA, and just practice on being faster. So I decided that since Lune Noir was a pretty fast and fun song, that I would play it on 1.1

And then I dominated on 1.1.

I've never gotten an AA on this song, even though i've played it many times. This score is around 60 perfects less than the play before it on 1.0 and a few less combo breakers.

So yeah, I'm completely confused by how much of a better score I got on 1.1 rate of it. Anyone have any idea how this happened? O_o

A problem that's common to players (this isn't exclusive to StepMania) is hitting the keys too rapidly when faster notes come up, like 1/16 notes. Let's say there's a 1/16 staircase at 150bpm; a player who isn't used to solo or otherwise may hit it too slowly (say, 147bpm) or too quickly (153, etc). This obviously leads to worsened MA/CBs. Increasing the rate can help you on some songs if you're going faster than the notes call for.

I actually went through this problem myself and I still have trouble without rates on some songs, like Aqua.

damn so i have a problem, my key set up is qwe 789 but i cant hit 789 at once, it wont register. i also cant hit qwe789, and when i hit any pattern with 789 in it it wont register anything ): any way around this or is it just my keyboard?

Just find a setup that will register all keys at once dude. Just fiddle around with your keyboard 'til you find a combination that works
