Re: Diablo 3
Bought the game, but didn't have much time to play last night before it got too late. I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to set the controls to w,a,s,d or use a controller to move. Having to click to move is one of the most annoying things imaginable.
I thought for sure with the release of the console version that they would add controller support for the PC. |

The idea of playing Diablo with anything other than a mouse is horrifying.

The idea of playing a hack and slash with click to move is horrifying. Actually click to move on any game is disgusting.

Re: Diablo 3
The game works incredibly well on consoles with a controller. It's definitely more comfortable.

Re: Diablo 3
It's really a matter of what you're used to.
Me and others who played D2 and D1 possibly have gotten used to the click to move mechanic to the point where it just isn't Diablo anymore if you're not holding down that left mouse 24/7. I could never even imagine playing Diablo any other way after spending hundreds upon hundreds of hours clicking away and utterly destroying that left mouse button ;w; |

Re: Diablo 3
Is it actually more efficient to spam click than to hold? Because I hold the left mouse most of the time for both combat and movement.

Re: Diablo 3
I might have gotten it to work with an autohotkey script, but I'll have to play around with some of the script to make it less glitchy. Every now and then it will move my cursor back to my character which messes up targeting. Oh well, it is still more playable than click to move and click to shoot.

For me personally, I hold when I'm moving around and spamclick in combat situations since spamclicking basically just gives you full freedom of movement. Last edited by Samwais; 03-25-2014 at 12:04 PM.. |

Re: Diablo 3
Autohotkey script doesn't work very well. This is really turning me away from this game which is disappointing because the rest of it is alright.

The Enchantress, all of her dialogue, her mini-quest and everything about her can die in a fire. Except for mass polymorph. That's fine.
Covetous Shen wins the day yet again for being the best character. James Hong is fantastic. |

400k DPS and 9 million toughness buffed and I can't even farm T1 comfortably anymore.
The hell is goin on here o_o I was on T2 in act I fucking around on adventure mode, run into this mob, get my DPS buffed up to nearly a million in archon form and I barely even dent his health...and then he just molests me. I want to see what kind of gear is necessary to run T6 now LMAO

Re: Diablo 3
Do you mean when leveling crusader? From what I've heard its amazing when you have a socket for your weapon for OP Imperial Ruby+. But I think they fall off at 70, assuming nothing has changed since PTR. (Never played ptr, just heard from people who did)
Also went from 60-70 and beat the game without finding a single upgrade for my wizard. I added a socket to my Azurewrath at the cost of its only attribute roll (vit). And between the attack speed, 20% cold, and crit gem I actually had a hard time replacing it until I hit adventure mode @70. Played from torment 1 up until the ram, and then those casters that set down the ice line kept me from kiting properly, so I had to drop to masters. And then down to Expert after a few tries at malthael. Didn't have the toughness to survive his phase 2 sweep, nor the DPS to finish it fast enough that I could realistically dodge all the clouds to get behind him for every cast of it. (Did my first bounty, found a new weapon, and helped a barb friend kill it on torment 1 immediately after) Played all day yesterday, started at 469k dps and ~7.9m toughness. Today I'm at over 740k buffed, but 3.9m toughness, but with 12k+ healing. Switch out All Res paragon for Life Regen, you can get 90 AR for one affix, or 7xx Life regen, and for the same paragon points you have 210 AR vs 7k Life regen. I actually feel more tanky with half the life but all this healing, probably since I'm no longer reliant on potion cooldowns. Speaking of which, has anyone found a legendary potion yet? I'm really hoping to find Kulle-aid. Last edited by omega_grunt666; 03-27-2014 at 01:59 PM.. |

Re: Diablo 3
Someone in my guild found a legendary potion and that's the only one I've seen anyone get so far.
Also, my wizard rip'd at lvl 66 to a bullshit amalgamation of elite packs Currently leveling up a crusader to keep the HC spirit going and I can safely that without a good weapon, leveling crusader is suffering. I've had the good fortune of finding weapons with sockets though so it hasn't been too much of a pain in the ass. P.S. this gear i have right now looks sweeeeeeeeeet. ahahahahaha dude my new xfinity modem deactivated itself right as I ran into a group of arcane enchanters, according to my friends I had to get on the phone with comcast for over an hour, I was a little cheesed but honestly I can get to level 20 in a couple of hours thanks to all these patches they've put out since launch, so I'm guessing it takes maybe a few days to hit 60 then another few for 70.

I will never play a character with permadeath in an online-only game.
