Sure yeah. I'll be on later since I have to eat now.
PS: I played vvav. No lag. I guess it's just luck.

Re: Touhou Online for the FFR Community
Well I tried to play i love gabba, but it won't work. He'll send me the screenshot tomorrow about the problem.
Apparently he's stuck at the character select screen, but displays that I don't choose a character. Everything is fine for me until the stage select screen. I can't select a stage because i love gabba is stuck at the character select screen. Help?

Re: Touhou Online for the FFR Community
I think it was actually because I tried hosting when I played Midday but you hosted when I played you. Probably more system strain for the host.

Re: Touhou Online for the FFR Community
No you didn't. I only received the screenshot I just posted.
But yeah. It's something that's we are unable to play through. Really, I haven't played on CowCaster before (my other friends are too lazy to download it) so I have no idea what's wrong with it.

It's because i'm a freaking genius. Also, you'll improve as long as you practice.

Re: Touhou Online for the FFR Community
You have to hone those skills constantly, though. If I can't play anyone, I just boot up practise mode and rehearse some combos, then play some th07booster AI. Helps keep me sharp. ;p If I don't, my skill quickly deteriorates.

Re: Touhou Online for the FFR Community
Skill degrades differently for different people. My skill doesn't degrade unless I lack playing for years. In fact, it sometimes impvroves when i take a break, and that's pretty much the same for everybody.

Re: Touhou Online for the FFR Community
That was a pretty alright game, Sammy. At least managed to do about 1100 damage to me, haha. You need to work on your movement a bit; and don't always airtech.
We should establish some sort of rough ladder system like the Brawl thread, just so anyone who decides to join can get an idea of who stands where.

Re: Touhou Online for the FFR Community
Kotarouchan and I played for about 4 hours today, and I figure it would help people get a better idea of how good I am if I told you the results. These are all estimated based on my memory, so they're not 100% accurate, and he said he had some lag that I wasn't experiencing for most of the games, but here goes.
When playing against his Aya: My Suika won ~60% of the games. Closer to 50% towards the end when he stopped running into stupid **** like oki fire bombs. My Sakuya won ~45%. Had a lot of trouble with his projectiles going around mine and/or doing way more, as well as his superior melee. The only trouble my Sakuya really gave him was when I managed to get some momentum and spam in a way that he had a hard time hitting me with any melee, resulting in him either taking damage for trying or getting his guard broken most of the time. My Youmu won ~20%. I'm re-learning how to play her without spamming elbow, so I'm really lacking in offense right now, since spamming elbow is basically the way everyone plays her, and the start of her most damaging combo. It's just no fun to play Youmu with elbow spam, so I'll figure something out. I'm going to be looking through the alt. skill cards and re-evaluating my spell card choices, so I imagine I'll fair a bit better next time. My Marisa won ~40%. Had a lot of trouble because Aya is too fast for Marisa's awesome reversals, and is just too fast for Marisa in general. I found out that, disgustingly, Aya's projectiles are better than Marisa's. This was basically a constant war of dotsies since he plays a very projectile-oriented Aya and I had no way of putting any pressure on him for longer than a couple seconds. We played this match-up the most. My Patchouli won ~50% of the games. I think this was just his inexperience playing against Patchy plus the fact that I wasn't just spamming fireballs like every other Patchy he's likely played. He also himself admitted himself that he doesn't watch the opponent's spell cards, which leaves him open to easy flares. Overall, we were pretty much even. Against his other characters, mainly Alice though I think he played another character that I don't remember: My Patchy won ~75% of the games. He said it was his first time playing Alice, and Patchy has an incredibly favorable match-up against Alice. I might have played another character for a few games, but I don't remember for sure. I also, as we expected, won most of my matches against ddr_f4n, though I don't remember them very well, even which character I used. Also, Midday, it would be nice if you would update this: Contact: FFR Profile Comment (No Hamachi, no hosting capability) IaMP Status: Started 6/30/08 SWR Status: Intermediate SWR Main: Suika SWR Secondaries: Sakuya (primary), Youmu, Marisa, Patchouli (tertiary) to Contact: FFR Profile Comment or message on Hamachi (No hosting capability, even on Hamachi) IaMP Status: Started 6/30/08 SWR Status: Intermediate+ SWR Main: Suika SWR Secondaries: Sakuya (primary), Patchouli, Marisa (Secondaries), Youmu, Remilia (tertiaries) Changed to intermediate+ because I seem to be better compared to you guys than I expected. I'm just used to constantly losing to the guy I normally play SWR with (Magister). Also, Midday, get on Hamachi, I want to see if we can play without horrendous lag when you host.

Re: Touhou Online for the FFR Community
yeah, we need to document future games. Maybe we can use it to create a ladderboard, or something like that.
I used Youmu once, then you told me to pick a good character (which I just played Aya until the end) |
