Maybe omitting every other note and the whole red note section would make this more fun for everyone. Or it would make the whole file terrible. In any case, thanks for the file. It'll probably give a lot of use new goals.

Gee, the thread kind of sidetracked.

I guess some people (Bahamut and Shash) showed this is possible to AAA, and thus the fact it's almost unreadable is just more difficulty, which happens to be fun to a lot of people (including me). A bit like in MMORPGs, all midlevel players whine to no end when a top level dungeon or zone is released that they can't go to without putting any kind of work.

Mostly, the whining has been by people that are unable to read the file, I don't think it is right. Learning to be able to read sick songs like this is part of the learning process. 2 days ago I couldn't read Beethoven Virus and Secret Zombie Room, now I,m close to FCing both. I can't read this, and some much easier songs, but it just gives me an incentive to keep playing. A game that you master in a month is no fun.

So, yeah, that thing is a mess. I can't make out what I'm supposed to do at all, so I stand over my keyboard, pump the caffeine and spam my ass off. That's what most of us will do, mass boos and never get close to do good on that song. That's a top player song only, even if it wasn't expected as such (as shown by the difficulty rating, that is again WAY off), and I think we should respect it as such.

We weaker players have already a lot to chew at already to whine that the new song is just too hard.

And from what I saw (almost completed it), the steps aren't more offbeat than in a lot of songs, although they somewhat feel off at times.

Anyway, I just wanted to stop the whinng a bit, and resume the High Score bragging process I actually wanted this thread to be. Maybe it's the opposite that will happen, I guess.

The song has been FCed, now who's going to land the first AAA is to be seen!

Yeah 99.99% of FFR can't read these steps, but that just also means they haven't played 75% of the songs on FFR. So they have no reason to complain. Most of them don't even have all of the secret songs.

3 goods.. insane shash..

Thank you. Honestly guys, if you can't read the file, get better until you can, don't just bitch about it not being fun or blah blah blah. The POINT is not to be fun, the POINT is to be a challenge, so whining about how it's not fun is pretty useless. There have been plenty of fun, decently easy songs in the past few weeks, and I'm sure there will be more to come (Tass's submissions)--but expecting that EVERY week be like this is pretty absurd IMO.

Im not great at ffr but everyone needs to stop whining about the song being too hard. If you cant do it dont whine about it just try harder. I suck at this song but i still have fun trying. i completely agree with MoooveZiiig.

To add on from before.. if you can't read this file, chances are you can't read A LOT of other songs on FFR, so quit bitching and get better. It's a good song with fun steps.

Shash, at the very start of the red arrow syndrome, where you stepped the flute, did you slap in 24ths there? That would explain why the red notes there and why I thought it looked like 24ths. The flute is playing out 16ths, though. I don't get it.

hey ps guys GP's SM file for this as it is now is boring, generic, has a lot done wrong (sory gp your new stuff is good)

Mashing proves to be effective since nobody half decent can highscore without boowhoring (exception to 3-4 people of course)

They are 24ths...lol, when I made this file months ago, my friend (hi19) was like "hey I think those are 24ths" so that's what they wound up as and I never really went back to check it.

Blame him XD

Seeing how that was directed to me, you realize:

1. I'm not spread or index
2. I never said the file was COMPLETE junk. I just think it's over-the-top is all.
3. Who puts spins in their stepfiles anymore? O_o

Well if noone can read it, then do you expect people telling you your file is good? You can't have it both ways

Apparently, the only people who can pass judgment on it are the people who can read the red note syndrome. All 3 of you.

Yes, actually.

Everyone else should either get better or quit whining, because they can't even read the notes, so how can they accurately judge the quality of the file?

Honestly.
