Can all you ".hack//SIGN rox" people please PLEASE tell me why you think it's a halfway decent show?

I guess you all just like watching people talk for 20 minutes... about NOTHING.

I use to like it a lot. I don't really watch it anymore. I don't watch much TV period. I only watch Family Guy and thats about it. .hack//SIGN is just like a show that you have to figure out something. What makes the show more fun, is having the video game to go with it. =D O well. I guess it's not as good as what it was.

You can "figure it out" in about half an episode. There's a kid trapped in a video game. It's an anime. What do you think is going to happen?

By the way, it's not an ongoing series with 100+ episodes that you "like at first". You see it all, then it's over. It's only 26 episodes long.

And every episode is just talking.

O well I never even finished watching all of them because I stopped watching TV. So I really don't know what happens. =/

My favorites are byfar Macross 7, Sailor Moon Stars (which is the 5th season), Card Captor Sakura, and as of recent Tsubasa. There would be more if I could actually remember the names. I used to watch a ton of anime in Hong Kong while it was aired on TV. I loved all of it, but I just can't seem to remember any of the names.

I am a die-hard anime/manga fan and therefore it's going to be tricky to pick out favourites, but here goes:

Trigun (Best. Anime. Ever.)
Getbackers (The dubbing for Kazuki scares me; the manga's better.)
.hack//LotT
Inuyasha (What little anime we get on TV in Canada.)
Fullmetal Alchemist (Pwnz.)
Naruto
Yu Yu Hakusho
Many, many others that I'm too lazy to list. Though I have much more manga than anime.

EDIT:

I'm fine with the fact that you're bi, but I'm not fine with the fact that you double-posted. Supporting yaoi no less. *burns random FAKE volume, gets killed by yaoi fangirls*

Sexy Commando Gaiden Sugoiyo!! Masarusan. Now that is an awesome anime.
Except that each episode is only 8 minuters long. but man is it awesome. This
show is like a volcano wrapped in bacon and super-models, that's how awesome it is.

With so many new anime series arriving over from japan, it's just so hard to keep up with a favorite anymore.
But here are my top 5 favorites:
1) Paranoia agent - I've been watching this ever since it aired on a.s and it's kept me interested. always wondering what might happen.
2) Xenosaga the animation - yes they made a short 12-13 episode series based from the first xenosaga game. They changed a few things around but I loved it.
3) Saikano - wow.. this was a very depressing anime. one of the very few anime's to actually hate humanity and war.
4) Gundam 0083: Stardust memory - one of the few series that kept me interested in u.c (universal century) gundam (besides 8th M.S team).
5) The Big O - *gasp* Ever since it ended after season two it's been making me want them to hurry and perhaps get season three done *sigh*.

I have alot more that I like but it keeps changing.

Why do so many people like such bad anime?

Well, probably because bad anime is usually the only type of anime that is played on American television.

Meh, people will only watch what stuff that is readily available to them (E.G.- AS) so its no wonder their favorite anime are mostly seen on Saturday nights. Well right at the moment, my favorite anime are Slayers, Those Who Hunt Elves 1 and 2, and Naruto (who could blame me?). They all rock my socks hard. Especially Lina Inverse.

A very good and legitimate question; one I would like to know the answer of. Though the availablity theory works.

Acutally, I have been impressed by the amount of effort AS puts into getting good anime on TV, as of lately.

Anyways, the very first anime I ever saw was some movie about Project A-KO. It was pretty cool back then, though I bet I would be totally annoyed by the amount of schoolgirl-ness in it if I watched it now.
