Bonus 1: Let's Break the Ice

Play (and pass) your favorite song that you can play on FFR's engine. This can be anything on FFR the Game, an alt engine (FFRMania, Dragon's Fury, etc.) or even any song/file that you can load on FFR's April Fool's engine. Also describe why you chose this song/file, and add some background to it to make it more meaningful.

Reward: 2,000 credits

Bonus 2: EXTRA STAGE!!
-Pass any song with the assigned difficulty of the division below yours using the opposite scroll direction of what you normally play (D1 will use same difficulty). This means downscroll players will play upscroll and vise versa. You must save a replay of this score and post the link of said replay for your submission.

Reward: 2,000 credits for submission. Lowest raw good count in each division will win 4,000 credits instead.

Registration is still open until the end of Round 1. If you sign up and you would be placed in D8, then you'll simply do D7 on 1.15x rate the entire tournament while competing with D7 players.

I will continue to do 2 bonuses per round as long the "E" thread on FFR's Discord Server is still alive, so please spam stuff in there. The thread dies if 1 hour goes by without a post. There will also be a special surprise if the thread lasts throughout the entire tournament.

Have fun! It should be easy enough this round.

This Round ends on Wednesday, September 15th at 11:59 PM EST.

as for the bonus 1, sonic 1 final zone holds a place in my heart, as it was one of the first songs i played all the way back when, and i remember i would be the annoying dude in multiplayer making people play it all the time. that and three ring nightfall.

Bonus Round 1:

Aim Burst is not only my favorite file of all time - but the song itself as well. It was the song that got me to start REALLY attempting to get better at jumpstream and what's led me to play SM packs like Nuclear Blast and any and all IcyWorld/hi19 files from here on out. It's always held that spot with me and I have NEVER AAA'D it to this day. It's the "Song that got away" so to speak xD One day...... current best is a Blackflag

Bonus 1:
I picked EHHS (specifically this chart for it) because this chart was a gateway for me in many respects.
For starters, when I first came across the chart I played one handed. Getting completely wrecked by it many moons ago (not able to pass even the first 10 seconds) made me go to the forums for the first time and learn about spread.
Also, at the time I pretty much only listened to rock and metal. This song and chart introduced me to Sharpnel - which then exposed me to various other genres.
Finally, it was my Oni get back on Christmas day 2010.

I choose this as my D5R1 song AND as my Bonus 1 submission. The background is a field of :vs:. I chose Epidermis as my song because it's from Venetian Snares(VS) and it's a file that has the tournament-appropriate difficulty rating of 70. All my favorite VS songs either (1.) sound super weird to the casual music listener or (2.) sound like a total fast-paced nutty banger. Epidermis fits both 1 & 2.
