that attitude is exactly what I mean by feeling like I'm being thrown into a raid boss on my first game of playing.
the amount of deduction and content expected is ludicrous for a new player.
what you call shitposting or not providing content was my attempt at proving my innocence.
also nice assumption that I didn't read. I read all the pages. but what was I supposed to make from it? I don't know anyone's game. I have 0 experience with previous TWG games.
as I said during the game: I left the solving to the experienced players.
to me it was better to assume I was wrong than to give an inexperienced opinion, or to get manipulated by people.
anything I felt like saying also felt like it would make me more suspicious
even saying that this is what I was doing is going to come across as suspicious
thanks for accepting me as a guest during your endgame content
don't expect me to come back any time soon
It is very difficult to play the game at first, but there really is no other way to learn other than playing.
I do agree that there are very high expectations for players in the game, I even thought about setting a limit on the # of posts a player could make in each phase or something like that, so I will grant you that this is true. It is impressive that you read everything for your first time, it really is.
So, I get that you provided content, but it was very unexplained. I remember you dropping a vote and refusing to explain why you were voting for that person. This is what I'm talking about; you need to back up your reasoning. You can't be afraid of what people are going to think of your reasoning regardless of if you're town or not. The general idea of this is kind of simple; if you're town, then what you're saying comes from a town's mindset, and if you speak your mind, then it should come across as townie to other players. Obviously, this is not foolproof because mislynches happen, but its a general idea. I would say that the absolute best advice that I was given when I was starting out was not to care too much about what other people will think regarding how you post or what you post. If you're thinking about that kind of thing, you're going to change how you play almost certainly in a negative kind of way.
You also generally shouldn't let the more experiences players try and run the game, most notably for the reason that happened this game; they might be scum. The wolfteam got stronger with the replacements, and the SK was strong as well. The only part of the game you can control is what you contribute, of course, and by limiting what you post because you don't have faith in yourself or you fear you might not be able to get your point across is going to end up biting you in the ass.
Do you understand the points I'm making? I feel like I'm repeating myself, sorry.
I am sorry you didn't enjoy it and aren't really interested in playing any more. It may not be the game for you, but I do think that if you learned it, you have the kind of personality that allows you to pick it up quickly, so I am disappointed that you're not really interested in playing.
I do think that what you set out to do, which was prove your innocence in the manner that you did, did accomplish its goal at first, I remember a lot of people townreading you for the way you were posting, but you understand why that changed later on, right?

Whatever you got in terms of harassment was tame by the standards of what others have been through. At the end of the day everything said in TWG stays in game..I've had people say they hate my guts and want me to die and everything in between, then chat me up in prochat hours later. Don't take anything said in-game to heart as it's usually just play style or someone asserting themselves to make a point.
Perhaps try a jTWG as those are supposed to be more laid back and oriented towards new players.
Anyway, good game Xiz you played beautifully. I was kinda hoping Dap, Haku and Jrodd would figure out Fonti was town, but oh well..win some lose some.
Also I was really RNG lucky this game - dodged two kitb's and got a 1 in 6 IC confirm! Thanks based RNG-Sama

Re: TWG CXLIX: Cedolad Replaces out Postgame Thread
Final reads:
rzr: You actually had an interesting game for once. Charu didn't jump on you too hard and nothing dramatic happened like in the previous games. #whatever
j-rodd123: Being a replacement at this point of the game must have been weird. I can't blame you for Day 7.
Red Blaster: You're the incarnation of RNG Jesus in this game. If you didn't IC, I would have still thought you were Mafia. #fml
roundbox: You should go steal some luck to Red Blaster.
Vendetta21: gl with work.
fontisian: Your content was 10/10, your intents forever confused me. It seems like I can't read you at all. Good player here.
XelNya: This game looked good for you, I wanted to see more, but you died early, that sucks.
Xiz: Well played overall.
DaBackPack: I spent the entire game changing what I think of you. That made it very hard to trust you even if you consistently provided good content/intents and was Town.
Hakulyte: Stop doing actions that doesn't follow your own values.
cedolad: Of course, you had to replace out..
storn42: I liked your game, it seems indeed true that your typical meta seems to be "act scum as Town" and "act Town as scum". I don't know if you want to work on that.
botchi246: I know you were PR, but honestly, I kept flagging you as Mafia in this game even though you were probably just trying to not get attention as PR. I'm not sure how you're supposed to approach this either.
Tokzic: Never played with you, never had the chance to see you play. #fml
reuben_tate: I laughed more than I should have when you called me a wolf. #rip activity
Charu: You did a good game, but for some reason you got so much agro at one point that both Mafia and SK wanted to get rid of you at same time. #welp
tiloco217: Very strong play, I feel like you played quite a bit before even if it was my first game with you.
Makilaz: Didn't play nearly enough to have much to say about her.
YoshL: If Xiz didn't nightkill, you were going to stay Town for a long time.
danceflashrevo: Already told you what I think of your game in this thread.
helphelp11: I also have no clue why you got lynched that early.
Sinistrosuede: #rip activity
_Zenith_ : I hope your life gets better.
AragakiAyase: You already know what I think of your game.
SKG_Scintill: You already know what I think of your game.
Re: TWG CXLIX: Cedolad Replaces out Postgame Thread
i know sunfan said not to discuss this much in this thread because there would be a thread for this but
i'm a little bit annoyed right now, given that you were chatting outside of the thread, and had knowledge that i my slot was mafia from some point before i replaced in (as well as other information regarding the game setup, and who was what alignment/role)
so you posting those "final reads" is complete and utter bullshit and i honestly don't know who you're trying to convince otherwise right now lol
